This is why I am so harsh. When we were nice after elections telling teh AC that they should begin to campaign immediately you all fell asleep. Even Freddie, one of your most ardent supporters became frustrated. I dont even know who he plans to vote for. In 2006 we definitely knew.

You guys remind me too much of teh WPA and we know where they ended up. I see a similar fate if you dont listen to folks on the ground OUTSIDE of your party. If you think coming to meetings translates into a vote. They are curious. What do they say AFTER your meeting?

Summer comes and many Guyanese visit. We all ask them whats happening with the election. I am just amazed how mnay shrug their shoulders and want to move on to the next topic. Its like Guyana is Guyana and the PPP is bound to win. NEXT topic!!!!

These are mainly middle class black and mixed people. YOUR CONSTITUENCY!!!!!!

If pressed they say the APNU is pathetic. Many dont know or care what that means. Urban blacks, especially youths dont vote, many arent even registered.

The AFc they see as making a lot of noise but not grabbing people as they think they will remain a minor party, based on their performance in parliament over the past 5 years.

This is th truth as I am told. If folks think I am racist for repeating this they can continue with that belief. Over the past 9 years I have grown accustomed to being called racist because I tell the truth as I see it and some, former PPPP supporters, now changing sides, dont like a black man who doesnt suck up to them.

yes when you dont get black support you will blame me. You really think highly of me.

You are Indo pretending to be a black man and too old to join any political party. Frown

So I now am a PPP supporter now. Keep it up. You behave like a fish caught in a trap desperately trying to get out. Fish eventually get tired and end up in a restaurant.

The AFC is like that. The diner will be the PPP. Pity as the PPP ought to be an easy target this year.

So now that you have vented and it's the morning after, Don't you think Jagdeo should say sorry to Ramjatan for lying on him when he told Janet that Prak, a decent and honest politician, was the one leaking info to US embassy when it is now exposed that it was Gail one of his current advisors? goodmorning

Mitwah the AFC is a baby party. Potentially on the brink of joining the WPA and the UF.

No one outside of it thinks they have a snowball in Stabroek Markets chance of winning. Indeed many think they will do worse as the anti Corbin vote goes back to Granger or decides not to bother to vote. The fact that Trotman is not in leadership bothers others who note how poorly Ramjattan performed last time. And who view Holder as anemic and likely to perform even worse than Ramjattan

The AFC is seen as appealing only to the middle class. You know full well how small this group is. Many of these folks are happy with Granger as he is one of them. Corbin is viewed by them as rabble and a Hamilton Green hold over. So they bolted last time.

Others have been snared by Jagdeo's offer of big bowls of soup. I heard one bragging about how much $$$ he will make with some Jagdeo project aimed at pretending that the PPP likes blacks.

Yet others, fearful of the wrath of the PPP if suspected of not voting for them, will go PPP unless either the AFC or the PNC will prove to them that they will win. Given that no one outside of those two parties believes so than some fear driven folks might vote PPP...or not vote...does anyone really think that ballots in small Caribbean nations are secret?

I should think this should engage your attention more than ANOTHER Jagdeo buse down.

While dissatisfaction with the PNC and the PPP is clearly evident this doesnt mean that the AFC has these votes, as many of the same folks dismiss the AFC as irrelevant.

After the elections this topic might have relevance. Not now. The AFC has less than 2 montsh to prove that its a Big Boy now. Up there with the PPP and APNU.

Caribj, thank you for your honest opinion and for taking the time to respond.

It's up to the people to vote or not to vote. The AFC must push on with the issues and not get caught up in the race game and mud slinging.
The people would choose and get the government they deserve. Regardless of what Govt will be in power my organisation will still be involved to continue to help the poor kids get a high school education thru shcolarships. It's better for the AFC to try and fail than to fail to try.

What are you doing for the upliftment of your fellow Guyanese?

Spending MY money to help my school. You do not need to know which school that is.

The PPP, which some point in the past you supported, is very vindictive towards outspoken AfroGuyanese. They do read this site.

That's great of you for helping your shool. I did that when Jagan won the election and now we have widen the scope of our involvement.

They are indeed vindictive to anyone that is outspoken. This is the primary reason for people from Ramjattan's village and neighboring villages did not vote in the last election. These people now know that the threats were empty ones and they are waiting for the PPP goons this time around.

True but then blacks in Guyana are in a weaker position to defend themselves. They will pay some starving blackman US$50 to go kill them and kill them he will. Killing an Indo costs more.

I would not know. I am not in the killing business. If you say so then it must be so.

take it from me. A Guyanese went back to start a business. He wa sharrassed by loads of govt officials wanting a raise even before he sold one product. He was then robbed. Some one came by and offered him to beat up the theif or kill him. He offered a price menu.

Only very vocal Indos like Freddie will be easily targeted as most will be assumed to have PPP contacts. Black lives matter less as it is assumed that no one within the PPP will shed one tear.

This is Guyana today.

Wikileaks also stated clearly that .. paraphrase ..

.. PPP/C is the only organised party ..

Gangs are organised, but that don't say much for them.
