He can speak good English today because of the British.
It's great that we are able to see history from a western perspective.

You fellas cannot see that this Shashi character is trying to get a university job in a western liberal arts college to explain to liberal whites how white people turned him into a Paki.

Shashi Tharoor has a doctorate from Harvard University and has published extensively. He can get a job at virtually any university.
Then how come he is not lecturing at Harvard or Yale?

Sorry, his Ph.D. is from Tufts. I was thinking the Kennedy School but the Fletcher School is just as good. Tharoor is an intellectual giant.
Tharoor passport probably got multiple visas for ABC countries. His former wife was a British Canadian woman. He can talk nuff nonsense without thinking of the consequences for poor Indians who would like to have a better life. All this fool is doing is pissing off white people and playing into the hands of racist British white people. Poor Indians will pay the price for this man's stupidity. Just like how poor Guyanese East Indians are paying the price now and into the future for Jagan and his Romanian/Hungarian wife foolish big talk and big mouth hateful stupidness nonsense. Hungary is now openly against immigration because they are now unashamed of saying that they want to keep the white colour of their kids kids.
Tharoor was born into an Indian expatriate family living in London, which returned to India after his birth. He completed a bachelorâs degree at the University of Delhi in New Delhi, and in 1978, at age 22, he was awarded a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. At that time Tharoor was the youngest person ever to earn a doctorate from the Fletcher School. Later that year he became a staff member in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva, Switzerland.
During his subsequent 23-year career as a diplomat in the United Nations, Tharoor served in various capacities, including deputy chief of the UNHCR Secretariat (1985â89), special assistant for the United States and UN for peacekeeping (1989â96), executive assistant to the secretary-general (1997â2000), and under-secretary-general for communications and public information (2001â07). In 2006 Tharoor was chosen as Indiaâs official candidate for the post of secretary-general. He finished second out of the seven candidates in the 2007 election, which was won by former South Korean diplomat and politician Ban Ki-moon. Following his defeat, Tharoor resigned from the UN and became the chairman of an investment company based in the emirate of Dubai (Dubayy).

Cricket was played in India even before the British went there. Cricket was first reported when the boys hit the ball into the pond, there was a snake there. Krishna, not Shellyv , went in and killed that monstrous snake and retrieved the ball. Baansuri Waala used it to bring the various Jaatis together. As usual, the Angrezees would like to take credit for it.
The British were stinking DOGS and must never forget that!!
Nehrubhai, In 1838, there were millions of beggars and homeless people in the streets of Calcutta. They were starving and naked. They prayed for a miracle and the British ships came and took them in. Fed them, give them blankets to wrap their naked bodies, and pillows to sleep on the deck. That was something India never did for them. They were brought to the west indies and were given a roof over their heads, jobs so that they can feed their families.
Don't curse those British People.

Yeah? My father, a Rajput, said in court that he had to sell his gold jewellery, which signified he came from a wealthy land owning family, to get food onboard! That he was misled by those recruiting labourers for British Guiana! His curiosity and wanderlust got him into that fix! He was in South Africa before!

From my own experiences and observations here, it seems that Canadians 'like' or prefer black to Indos, because they 'know their place'! Indos are too assertive of their rights as human beings! They seem to imply that the only rights you have are what we, the majority, give you! From the time I came here, SOME racist people act as if I had been in a war with all white Canada which I lost! Now every racist ass*ole feels he has the right to place his foot on my neck, threatening to break it! My response? Break it! Who the fk wants to live with you anyway unless forced to? Why the fk did you steal my passport? Twice, if you don't want me here? Fing stupid cowards!
I tried to help all Canada with my database which would have put a stop to the thieves in stockbroking, which would include bankers, politicians, police agents and others! For that I've been treated worse than any serial killer or any other criminal, for 16 years! Small wonder that Canada's stock markets are regarded as wild west country!

Through most of ancient and medieval times, India remained fragmented into various small (and often warring) princely states. Various kings and emperors tried to unite a large part of the country under their reigns, but these empires eventually disintegrated.
'Various small kingdoms with various languages! Even under those kings and emperors who 'tried to unite a large part of the country'! Country? What country? The land!
The British created India, ONE country with ONE common language, Mits! Let us give them credit for that! If Africa adopted this, there would be many geopolitical changes in the world!

Partly! But never wholly! Even the Moguls had a hard time holding on to the parts they ruled! They had to have help from those they ruled!
I blame my Rajput ancestors for allowing Islam tio enter 'India'! If they weren't busy fighting stupid wars with each other, Islam could never have entered the land! Only when they realised they were outnumbered because of those who joined Islam, did they stop fighting but accepted the Muslims as their overlords! Even when the British quit India they still ruled about half of India! But Nehru, a Brahmin, put an end to that by promising them large sums if they joined, then reneged on that! Serves the stupid bastards just right! On the other hand, never trust a Brahmin! Look at Nehru's deceitful dealings with China! China only wanted back what the British took from China when China was weak! The war with China could have been avoided! China and India always had good relations!

When India was called Bharat, The Persians ruled India for eight centuries before it was conquered by the British.
I could be wrong.
Last year, an Indian PhD coworker explained to me about the princely states. When I told him European slave traders took my ancestors to British Guiana to slave for them and the queen, he was deeply touched and said he studied it in high school in India.

Alexander the Great chased the King of Persia (Babylon) and the General who killed the King all the way to the borders of modern day Afghanistan which was part of the kingdom of Chandra Gupta. Alexander and Gupta together engaged the Nagas, it was then Alexander got arrowed and returned to Babylon.
I doan think Persia ruled any regions of todays India. The ancient Persian border ran up to the kingdom of Chandra Gupta's kingdom.

Quite recently, I had a schoolteacher from the Punjab working here. She was surprised to know Indians left from Calcutta in 1838. She took the time to go to the Public Library and find books about the travel. She was intrigued, she never knew of it, never told in any form to many Indians in India. Everyday, she reviewed what she read.

Once I saw on youtube where one Gujurati guy interviewed another oldman Gujurati. They talked about the muslims in Gujurat. The old guy had nothing bad to say about the muslims in gujurat. But the young guy started to say terrible things about Modi. The oldman was very quiet, he listened without a word, then enquired from the young Gujurati, "what is your name." He had a hindu name. That was it, the oldman started off in passionate discussion on how terrible the muslim were when they invaded gujurat. He was no longer aggreeable.

I read somewher that when Alexander asked one of the tribal rulers he had defeated why they had put up such fierce resistance, he was told, in effect, "You ain't see nothing yet! Go further in!" So he turned back because his army was ready to mutiny! 'Dese fing peepul mad'!

Persian Empire
The Persian Empire spanned from Egypt in the west to Turkey in the north, and through Mesopotamia to the Indus River in the east.

Before 1840 a large proportion of the labourers were so-called âHill cooliesâ, aboriginal people from the plains of the Ganges. Later many others signed indentured labour contracts, including Hindus, Brahmins, high castes, agriculturists, artisans, Mussulmans, low castes (untouchables) and Christians.
The Plains of the Ganges is different from the Hills of Nagpur. It is recorded that Brahmins in order to migrate discarded the Scared Thread which is placed on their wrist at birth, they washed in away in the rivers as the scared act. The British recruiters did not openly choose Brahmins because of their reluctance to work and dependence on the labor of the lesser castes.

It was the Nagas, he had never met a force as them. Tribal but fierce, they made the Macedoians grumbled. The heat also had something to do with it plus the jungle warfare.

I was doing research for a history book when I stumbled onto that information. Discouraged by the Editor, suggesting a novel would be a better way of interest to readers. Since, I had divided the research into two separate novels, one with British Giuana as the Activist and the other Accross the Oceans dealing with the 1838 group from Calcutta. For the last five year I have stalled. As a history book I was on fire, a novel I have to weave the history into the characters. Six months of research ends as just two sentences in a novel. Every morning I remind myself that i need to finish the novels. The Editor was excited about a novel, she said it would be a great read.

I doan think all Brahmin were rich and land owners before the Raj. The Raj employed Brahmins to conive trickery on ppl who worked the land. Before all lands were under the control of pancyat as communical property, thousand of years ago. It moved into systems as the place got invaded and rulers imposed their systems for taxations. The Brahmins took control by the British system of Zamindaries, they became Zamindars and had the lesser caste worked the same land they owned in ancients. The lands were not maintained by the new owners and so famine came, starvation affected everyone. Everybody was ketching dey azz, suh who could run, run. Regardless of caste.
Zamindars, huh? I came across one here, the son of a convenience store owner, who boasted that his grandfather had been a Zamindar when I told him my father, a Rajput, came from India, as if he was indulging in a one-upmanship! I told him that he ought to go back to India where he could find lots of people there to feel superior to!

When and why did the British first choose to invade India?
The British first landed in India in Surat for the purpose of trade. Hereâs how and why a simple trading company, the British East India Company, became one of the biggest challenges the subcontinent had ever dealt with.
In 1763, Britain went to war with France and soon every European monarchy was embroiled in it, treaties forced them into it. The Dutch took advantage of the situation and seized Potuguese and Spanish domains.
The Brits were victorious in that war and soon the Globe became red. Their victory made demands on France, Holland, Portugal and any other European nations occuping lands in India to hand over their territories.
In Berbice, Kofi would know of the war, being a House Slave just as the House slaves of the Demerara Slave Revolt followed the Emancipation. All Europeans were concerned no matter where they lived on the planet, it was the talk.
Britain had lots of boats to ferry Englishmen to far off places.
