Who will be the speaker of the national assembly, or what role will play to choose someone? Apart from this, who would be best suited for the speakership?

I thought the opposition will have input into this process. Maybe I am wrong. I would not recommend a person from the PPP or PNC. Get a small party leader.

If were the PPP, I would not tie any bundle with him. When he did not get the speakership in 2015, he left the party.

He didn't get the Speakership in 2015 because the coalition outvoted the PPP/C by 0ne vote. The Speaker used to be chosen from the opposition party, but Burnham's constitution was at play. The Speaker might be chosen from the CIVIC and not from the Opposition party or any Mushroom Party.

Can Ralph Ramkarran hold that post since he is a former speaker?

That’s not why he left. He left in 2012. He was cheated out of the Presidential candidacy for the 2011 election.

Yet you supporting Ratman !!! he called the shots in the PPP.

PPP must appoint a PPP leaning member as speaker. PNC took the speakership twice even when the PPP was the ruling party ! Time for PPP to make a smart decision and not give away the speakership.

Traditionally the ruling party chooses the Speaker and the Opposition chooses the Deputy Speaker.
