Donald Ramotar had worked there at one time.
Another casualty of the PNC.
B was not a common racist as a kkk racist when it comes East Indians. Nevertheless we are dealing here with complex anti koolieism where the koolie is seen as an inferior person of Color.
David Arthur Singh i do not recall

Yes. He made an honest living.
What did I say otherwise to the honorable gentleman that warrant your foolishness? Would it be best if I called him a thief?
David Singh. Brother of union leader Richard Ishmael and Big Singh principal of Indians High School. I think Odeen taught there also.

Guys, David Singh wAs prominent. I remember him visiting the east bank. My mother gave him a piece of her mind when Chandrika Sukul, who was with him, made some derogatory remarks about Indian women in the PPP. When Sukul turned towards her, she spat at him and walked away!
Singh said absolutely nothing and seemed embarrassed! I still believed he was poisoned!
That Jordan was something else. Prashad says world court for him and Greene.
Was Jackson hired by that fool Jorgan.

I think the official cause was heart attack who knows the real cause, this is Guyana mysterious things happen. He was young when he died. His wife was Afro Guyanese. I remember his daughters were very beautiful dougla girls. They could have been models. Prashad remember one of them worked at the Bank of Guyana. She was very beautiful. I forgot her name. Churchill and Gillbaka should know more about David Singh than Prashad.
Let me tell you the true story of David Arthur Singh who was appointed as Minister of Housing and Reconstruction. His law office was on Croat Street in Georgetown. He was married to a beautiful Black woman and they had lovely children.
In the early 1970s, Hamilton Green who was then Minister of Works and Hydraulics who used his position to benefit himself, (was involved in widespread corruption building his house using Government Steel and other building materials and Government paid labour and transport). He somehow dragged David Singh into this situation. There was a call for an investigation into the matter. Forbes Burnham agreed and asked the Ombudsman, at the time former Justice GAS Van Sertima to investigate. He investigated them both and just about a few days before the investigation was to be released, it was alleged by the Govât that he committed suicide. Talk all over Georgetown then was that his death was set up to look like suicide by Hamilton Green. The report of the investigation was never released and shortly thereafter the Ombudsman's office was closed.
I donât see the name Llewelyn John, who was the Minister of Home Affairs in Burnhamâs first Cabinet.
Desmond Hoyle was never Minister of Home Affairs. He held the portfolio of the Minister of Economic Development.

Hoyte was minister of Home Affairs for a short time. Some PPP members claimed he told the Human Resources to fire them from the Ministry when he realized that they were PPP people working there. They claim Human Resources told them in confidence who was behind their dismissal.
Vibert Mingo was Minister of Home Affairs. He was one of the people responsible for bringing Jim Jones to Guyana. I recently met some of his relatives in Brooklyn. They are very wealthy.

David's wife was Thelma Singh who eventually became the Counsel General in New York.

Llewelyn John left and formed the Unity Party. It bombed at the polls and died off. But who knows, Burnham rigged the elections anyway!
His wife, top Guyana Suprano singer, was friends with my mom. She passed away a few years ago in Brooklyn!

My observation, seeing him a few times and my parents interaction with him, he seemed conflicted!

I donât know Atherly. Never met her. Have no interest in meeting her. Never been to any of her events. I never hug up a black man or a GDF man. I met the Mingo family at a private party at someoneâs home who has no involvement in politics.

The B man had a tongue of gold went it came to talk. But in the end all that we are dealing with here is a complex form of anti-koolieism. We as a people were very unfortunate to end up with a leader like Jordan.

Dondadda, the document from which this info, presented doesn't have a date, from the above someone can pinpoint the year.

Hoyte was minister of Home Affairs around 1973-74. Give or take a year or two.

Soon after the second election after Independence. John was removed from his portfolio as Minister. The joke in Guyana was that Burnham rigged him out.

Chandika Sukul is a freaking idiot. In 1984 he was invited to speak at an event at City College (CCNY) hosted by the Indian cultural club. He told the audience that in Indian Culture the man is supposed to spend 90% of his time outside of the home and 10% inside and the woman must spend 90% of her time in the home and 10% outside.
One irate PPP supporter asked "which book say dat?"

That ties into the disrespectful manner he spoke of Indian women when my mother spat at him!
