Yes !!! there are different tractors for field work and they come with a price. Somebody pocketing money on the price for the tractors.

Only the opposition would think that way, because that's what they were practicing during the 5yrs and 5 mths.

If progress by the PPP hit you you wouldn't know the difference . Why you instantly have to.be negative,  give the government a chance nah.

Lots of stealing at GUYSUCO ,Fuel ,Lubricants ,Fertilizers ,Pesticides ..etc

Add to that the top guy has been implicated in fraud before.  Someone made a sworn statement about being forced to give kickbacks related to the flour mill.  The PPP nevertheless hired the madman.

The price of the linked item is in Canadian dollars.Convert it to US by multiplying by .77 and you'll get an answer considerably lower than your estimate.  QED

Good come back after caught napping !!!!

The make and model are needed to justify the cost of the tractors that GUYSUCO will be purchasing .

Also in the olden days CAT Bulldozers was used for tillage and grading .MF and Ford tractors was used for other works ,not the monster types like 8680 ,me thinks the largest was MF 175 ,heavy tractors damage the roads during rainy season.

The price tag on the Cameco tractors, according to information, is around $33M for each.
An official from the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday said that the matter has not been brought to the attention of the ministry.

The purchase, if approved, will add up to a significant $1.5B for GuySuCo.

A lack of capital, poor agriculture, and corruption was blamed and the previous Government under David Granger shuttered four estates – Skeldon, Rose Hall, Enmore, and Wales.

The Irfaan Ali administration has, however, vowed to reopen the estates and make them profitable again, albeit in private hands. In fact, the government has asked investors to make proposals.
GuySuCo has been accused of being top-heavy with its management, with cronyism and corruption blamed also for its financial woes.

Used Cameco Tractors

Cameco Industries, (Cane Machinery and Engineering Co), was a company specializing in sugarcane equipment, including sugarcane harvesters and tractors specialized for sugarcane fields. It was based in Thibodaux, Louisiana, USA and founded in 1965. In 1997, John Deere purchased 49% of the company, and the rest of it in 1998. The Cameco name was retired in 2006.

What about its technology?  Is it the same machinery but a different name? The price would depend on the cheap steel they used from China.
