Charity Secondary student found hanged

A male grade eight student of the Charity Secondary School was found hanging Tuesday at the Essequibo Coast school.

An official at the institution who chose not to be identified told Demerara Waves Online News (www.demwaves.com) that the body of the lad was found by other students around noon in a washroom.

The official added that the boy’s parents have since visited the school as have the police who did their investigations and removed the body from the premises.

According to the school official, there were no indications whatsoever that the boy may have been contemplating suicide.
