India: India airlifted a shipment of Oxford AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines for Guyana, Jamaica and Nicaragua.

The official spokesperson of the External Ministry of India, Anurag Srivastava, shared this information via Twitter.

He tweeted, “#VaccineMaitri continues! Consignment of Made in India Covid vaccines airlifted for Guyana, Jamaica and Nicaragua.

Under the leadership of PM Modi, these three countries would get the following number of Oxford AstraZeneca vaccines :

Guyana: 80,000 doses

Jamaica :50,000 doses

Nicaragua: 200,0000

Under the Vaccine Maitri initiative, India has been providing coronavirus vaccines to its neighbouring & small countries.

Jamaican Senator & Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Kamina J Smith tweeted, ” They are on their way! Jamaica greatly looks forward to receiving this kind gift from our friends and Partners.”

Recently, India had provided 175,000 doses of Astra Zeneca vaccines as a gift to OECS countries, comprising 4 Caribbean countries.

Notably, India also sent 70k doses to the Commonwealth of Dominica & 100,000 jabs to Barbados doses.

Twenty-five nations across the world have already got Made in India vaccines and Forty-nine more countries will be provided in the coming days, ranging from Europe, Latin America & the Caribbean to Africa, South-East Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been praised by the global leaders as India continues to assist the countries under its ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Apart from donations, India is also supplying vaccines on a commercial basis, so that India delivered 20 lakh jabs to Brazil, Egypt (50000), Algeria (50000), South Africa (10 Lakhs), Kuwait (2 Lakhs) and UAE (2 Lakhs), Morocco (60 Lakhs), Bangladesh (50 lakhs), and Myanmar (20 lakhs) and the list goes on.

World Health Organisation head praised PM Modi for combating the COVID-19 pandemic and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “supporting” vaccine equity.

WHO chief said, “Thanks, India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for supporting vaccine equity. Your commitment to COVAX and sharing COVID-19 vaccine doses is helping 60+ countries start vaccinating their health workers and other priority groups. I hope other nations will follow your example.”

Under the Vaccine Maitri initiative, India has been providing coronavirus vaccines to its neighboring & small countries.

What about their own country?  Are they providing for the 400 million homeless and beggars living below the poverty line? Inquiring minds want to know.

India doing what it can in this fight to conquer this pandemic. No need to assail it.

You have to tell that to Prakash Singh and those from the poverty committee, they reported it.
