I got this update from Vince

I recently passed through Vancouver and got an update about Meharam [Mara] Sugrim. He is still in bed disabled with a stroke. He could recognize people and voices, but unable to speak.

This is no way for a human to live after 6 months, I am confident that he would rather pass on than exist so incapacitated. Sometimes our medical systems are too advanced to our detriment, keeping us alive in defiance of our maker's plans.

I know of him. I do not know him personally.  He knows my family. We spoke a few times. My regrets he has to be in the state he is in. He had a sharp mind.

I visited Meharam yesterday Apr 26. From the last time I saw him on Nov 13, 2013 he has improved in the sense that he now responds to you and says a few words. He is not on any medication only a feeding tube. He was not on any medication back in Nov as well and he really needs to be moved to a rehab facility where he can get physio help to get his arms and legs to function and his mental faculties will continue to improve at its own pace. Hospitals are a great place to pick up bugs and once you go down the road of antibiotics it is very hard to come back. Pray that his family member(s) entrusted with his care will do the right thing for him and move him to a physio place where he can get the care he needs.

Meharam's location: Lions Gate Hospital, Evergreen Bldg, 3 South, Room 317.
