The sugar workers have to realize that the government is hell-bent on closing the sugar factories and they are risking everything when they strike. The government is hoping the oil money will replace the sugar income. So the Indians who are working in the sugar industry have to be careful for they are being given wages to barely buy food for daily subsistence.

Terrence ... that guy was Mithulall Mangal former GAWU field rep.  Cyril Belgrave was also there . In fact it was his last public appearance. At this function Frank Anthony was supposed to be the main speaker but Jagcdeo blocked his attendance and asked Narbatt to fill in. This was a function in honour of the Jagans . Granddaughter  Vrinda and her husband were there .
