Racism has been nurtured by both the PNC/PPP for political gains for decades. This is a known fact and the people have the power to undo it. It's a shame that most of our members on GNI is making race a principle point on every political discourse.

I don't see that as being racist. That is a compliment when it comes to money. Afro Guyanese are being smart. You see money on the floor you pick it up  and put it in your pocket even if it is one cent. It makes you richer than a few seconds before. That is a compliment because it shows Afro Guyanese as being Jewish when it comes to money. The Fella in the video should follow their example.

Newly Elected President of the University of Guyana Student Society Jafar Gibbons is of the view that strong disciplinary action should be taken against that university of Guyana Student who recently took to social media uttering what has been deemed as racist remarks against his colleagues. You do not take action by kicking the student out of the institution where he can be and is being corrected. Would this student body president go to the GWI and caution them for their racism where it is more odious since they do not seem to care to hire a diverse work force? This kid is is following cues in his society where race matters in everything. He is in need of sanction but not expulsion. That would be hypocritical. We are a deeply racist people.

And when the various public and private sector entities behaved in ways that excluded blacks when Jagdeo was marginalizing them you didn't say much on it.  So you are as guilty as any. 

Yes the kid felt entitled to belittling black people because only black racism towards Indians is condemned. Let there be any discussion of racist abuse of blacks by Indians and people want to scream Indo genocide.  Indo racism is a taboo subject in Guyana.

Looking at who are top managers on boards of many Guyanese corporations can be quite enlightening.  And then one finds out how they continue to exclude blacks.  That is the type of racism that people should be shining a light on. Looking at some of those banks in Guyana one would think that one was in Mumbai.
