This election represents a seismic shift in Guyanese politics.  This reversed the downward spiral of votes.

The nation clearly remains divided, heavily based on ethnicity and geography.  The challenge of the coalition will be to do what no party in post independence Guyana has done.  That is to be inclusive in terms of ideology, personalities, ethnicity and geography. Just because some one disagrees with the government they aren't "anti govt".  And even if they are anti govt that doesn't mean that they are treasonous.

Granger and Nagamootoo are both decent men.  Let us wish them the best and hope that they rise to the challenges that face them.  Nagamootoo's role will be to help Granger contain certain forces within the PNC who might be tempted to engage in "ahwe pan tap" behavior and ethnic revenge.  That is NOT what the coalition represents.

So a new day has dawned for Guyana and this is evidenced by the highest voter turn out since 1997.

They will concede.  With the statements of the ABC nations, no doubt coordinate with the APNU AFC, they do not have a moral leg to stand on.  Their allegations are clearly false.

The one valid anti PPP violence, which occurred in Sophia happened AFTER the polls were closed. ANd it happened because all day Kwame and his thugs were attempting to create mayhem in Gtwn, no doubt aiming at creating riots and therefore forcing the cancelation of the election. Well their opponent is a military man and an army officer.  He knows how to quickly deploy his troops t quell unrest and he did at Tucville, St Sidwells and maybe other locations.

Kwame was NOT beaten up as pics show when he left the hospital.  The world is laughing at the PPP.

As Shaitaan says there will be a civil war within the PPP.  Too late as many have now left.  Too late as many will flee the sinking ship.  We can already see this with Rev and others.

But Guyana needs a strong opposition, charged with holding the govt accountable, and offering an alternative, should the govt fail to perform.  I challenge a new MULTI ETHNIC PPP to rise to the occasion. As I kept on telling Shaitaan and Rev a mono ethnic strategy was doomed to fail, if not this one, then certainly the next.

Well 2015 marked the end of any notion that ethnic politics can define Guyana.  No ethnic group is large enough to allow victory without attracting others.  As the Indian population shrinks the PPP will have to attract growing numbers of African and mixed supporters if they are going to win in the future.

They will fite to the bitter end. They have too much to lose. Imagine the whole lot looking for work!!! Thieving done....brazzington is shredding his ass off!!

I suggest that they don't.  The longer the resist the worse it will get or them.  People want to get back to the business of living and failing to bring closure will alienate.

Any case they have had two days to shred and destroy and steal, and the rest of today.  Brazzington was seen on a LIAT flight headed to Barbados.

Even as the coalition will NOT engage in a witch hunt, the biggest criminals will definitely have to account for their crimes.

Bobby and Jagdeo no doubt took that private jet as they are the biggest culprits and even the PPP will hang them out to dry.  I am willing to bet that Jagdeo will be blamed by the PPP for this mess that he has landed them in.
