US President Donald Trump signs an executive order alongside US Defense Secretary James Mattis and US Vice President Muike Pence on January 27, 2016 at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Trump signed an order Friday to begin what he called a "great rebuilding" of the US armed services, promising new aircraft, naval ships and more resources for the military. "Our military strength will be questioned by no one, but neither will our dedication to peace. We do want peace," Trump said in a ceremony at the Pentagon. / AFP / MANDEL NGAN [Photo credit should read MANDEL NGAN/AFP/Getty Images)

Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday that indefinitely suspends admissions for Syrian refugees and limits the flow of other refugees into the United States by instituting what the President has called "extreme vetting" of immigrants.

Titled "Protection Of The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States," the executive order would start to make good on Trump's promise to tighten borders and halt certain refugees from entering the United States.
The text of the order -- in a break from drafts that had been circulating earlier this week -- drops a longtime Trump campaign pledge to establish safe zones in Syria to give Syrian nationals displaced by the ongoing civil war in the country a place to relocate.
The order bars all persons from certain terror-prone countries from entering the United States for 90 days and suspends the US Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days until it is reinstated "only for nationals of countries for whom" members of Trump's Cabinet deem can be properly vetted.

Chief believe Trump is bluffing. He went and march with the women that were organised by sour puss democrats like Hillary, Pokahunta, Michael More and some billionaire to fund it. They intended to make women a top campaign agenda for 2020.

What percentage of Muslims are terrorists?

Muslims are responsible for most acts of terrorism. Thanks to President Trump, he will crush the poison bottle.

The Middle East (Heart of Islam) is in a complete mess due to radicalism.

God Bless Mahatma Trump.

It's no the best of plan, but it is so far the best one yet introduced by any government as far as controlling the movement of muslims from the Middle East is concerned. I don't know how much of an impact newly arriving muslims are having in the US, but in my neighbourhood in the UK it is a massive issue. The local drugs trade has been taken over by muslims, and those guys sit in the local barbershop all day whilst they have some very expensive cars parked on the road. Most of them arrived with just a plastic bag less than five years ago, and were put up by the local council in free accommodations. Soon after some of them started converting their flats and houses into drug farms. The UK news covers it regularly. Only last week two of them blew up a whole house after trying to mix some drugs with chemicals to make an even more profitable chemical drug.
So I can understand where Trump is coming from.

Your response above is not only extremely offensive; it is also a clear reflection of unadulterated ignorance and ugly, dirty bigotry ! I challenge you to quote ONE reference from the Qur'an that supports 'see our children die at the hands of terrorists' !

This is an attack on Islam, as Trump stated he intends to bring more Christians to America. In USA the majority of killings are done by White Christian Americans on other Americans, in USA almost all hate crimes are committed by WHITE Americans against non whites and recently most are done to Muslims. The America I know twenty years ago was caring and human, but today Trump is taking it back to Nazi Germany, one race matter THE WHITE RACE,So all you GNI Trump supporters who are indeed non white , the Donald don't care a shit about you, he still needs house maids ,toilet cleaners and gardeners. make your pick. Today in the news passengers that don't fit Trump list were taken off planes, that were bound to USA, UNUNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Chief, this is a serious issue for many muslim folks even in my neighbourhood. It was mostly muslims from Pakistan and India who first came to this part of London and even converted an old building to a mosque. Because of the mosque, a lot of the new muslim arrivals settled down in the neighbourhood as well. And the new ones are heavily involved in criminality in the drugs trade.

What 'facts' ? Facts are established by evidence, you dingbat ! Someone makes a statement of opinion and you immediately conclude that it is true. What evidence did you see in Mr. T's statement, you ignorant, bigoted donkey ? Your comprehension of English is evidently seriously lacking. What criminal or statistical record is there to support the claim that Muslims are involved in the drug trade ? None whatsoever, absolutely none ! But given that your pint-sized intellect is so steeped and consumed by foul and dirty prejudice, you joyously and immediately jump on the bandwagon of Muslim bashing !

Chief et al,  it appears that Muslims have a PR problem.  Is there anything the muslim community can do to improve the image of the umma worldwide?

Why is it that the Buddists, Hindus, Christians, Jews and other religious faiths don't have this issue with their image, being associated with terrorism like Islam?  Isn't there something that the larger Muslim community can start working on to improve this image via tv ads, publicizing the turning in a few terrorists etc? Something tangible to show the world that they are against the terrorists, other than just complaining about discrimination.  When was the last time we heard publicly that the muslim community turned in a terrorist or stopped a terrorist attack? I am sure this has happened but it is not given the publicity it deserves.

The image of the umma that jumps out at the rest of us is the muslims shouting death to America, burning the US flag or celebrating the death of "infidels" etc.  Seldom do we see images of Imams and clerics condemning the acts of terrorism and working with law enforcement to turn in the terrorists.  This needs to be publicized.  The silence from the larger Muslim community is interpreted as endorsing of terrorism.

We all know that the majority of Muslims are good people and the bad rap comes from the actions of just a few comparatively. Similar to how Blacks like CaribJ are associated with crime and welfare despite the evidence to show otherwise.

Druggie, you are not necessarily going to know if/when Muslims do those things because the media isn't interested in publicizing it. It is a bit easier now given that by defending Muslims is going against Trump and the media isn't too fond of Trump. Take for instance this refugee issue. Only this week a former senior UK government official was on MSNBC stating that it is not the west that has taken in most refugees but rather the Middle East, particularly Lebanon and Jordan which together has taken in over 2 million refugees. That was the first time I saw on tv here that the West has taken in only a small portion of Syrian refugees compared to those two countries.

And then we go back to Guyana in the 70's where Muslims were maligned even though they were only a small segment of our population.

Muslims have to continue to do what is necessary to separate themselves from the terrorists but it is not their burden what the terrorists do. Even parents in America do not have to carry the burden of their murderous children and vise versa.

I fully agree with you up to the point where you mention that it is not their burden. I will argue that if the negative perception of Muslims is to change then each and every Muslim must make it their burden to ensure that the positives outweigh the negatives.  Think about it as an advertising campaign where perception trumps reality.

It is not practical for the law abiding Muslims to change the actions of the one determined on evil actions. By your own observation above, "We all know that the majority of Muslims are good people and the bad rap comes from the actions of just a few comparatively" the actions of the good Muslims gets out-shadowed by that of the lesser numbered evil Muslims.

I would beg to differ. Let us take the Jews as an example. How did they change the negative perception from the Hitler days when no one cared that Hitler was marching them to the gas chambers in the millions? Today if a Jew is harmed it becomes headline news with sympathy from all quarters.

That is because of peoples' guilt of the holocaust. Even today, whenever Israel does something that would definitely earn them global condemnation, they quickly invoke the holocaust memorial to temper the reaction. Muslims don't generally ask for pity. They demand rights. I would suggest they demand those rights too vociferously to their general detriment. They should just chill a bit.
