“The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.” (Thomas Paine)

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” (Friedrich Nietzsche)

“Parents and schools should place great emphasis on the idea that it is all right to be different. Racism and all the other ‘isms’ grow from primitive tribalism, the instinctive hostility against those of another tribe, race, religion, nationality, class or whatever. You are a lucky child if your parents taught you to accept diversity.” (Roger Ebert)

I am more akin to quote above, time to take a break from GNI,  to rejuvenate the mental faculty.

Everything can be overcome when fairness is employed. Currently the PNC led coalition is  subverting the laws of Guyana and rushing the country and all it’s interests into a crisis it cannot afford to have. No amount of fancy talk about cohesion or diversity can survive in Guyana with the current behavior of the PNC. They have taken Guyana back to the days.

So you want to tell us it is not a local coolie versus negroes in Guyana? We have to accept tribalism and live with it. We all have our prejudices and racist feelings. We like our own first.

Tribalism isn't good, not for Guyana or any part of the world. You are aware how that behavior affects Guyana.

I agree. However, both major races practice this behavior. You have seen how the negro women behave when they insult the coolies in the public and the police do nuttin'. This behavior in Berbice is commonly called "black-gyaad".
