The PPP apologists now stand EXPOSED! . . . their Law and Order Pose a Casualty of Class, Ethnic Preference and Gross Race Politics

the shameful defenders of of Ashni Singh and Winston Brassington on the basis of race? is instructive

elements here and in Guyana are threatening race war and worse for charges against these two that carry a max penalty of 1 year

the ‘sedition’ prosecutions of the Jagdeo years where a jail term of several years was served by an individual not found guilty of anything has become a convenient distant memory

a GDF and Police with all the means at their disposal never even came close to even thinking of overthrowing the elected PPP govt at the height of that govt’s narco and death squad adventures

word to those Jagdeo fans beating the drums of ethnic WAR . . . your math is the calculus of Armageddon. Be very careful.

Going forward, Jacob Zuma needs some of y’all to help keep him out of jail for gross tiefmanism . . . after all, he can claim that de Klerk and hundreds more served not 1 day in jail for worse

no?

Banna,

I hold no brief for those people accused of corruption. Its simple: they guilty, they go to jail. Like I said…Guyana needs a cleansing of the soul. The poor soul at the bottom of the barrel needs to see politicians go to jail. Everybody knows that corruption abounds in Guyana.

But there is the double standard here...and you wonder why the “PPP apologists” here are not seeing what you are seeing. You are guilty of this double standard that you accuse others of..

So read this slowly before you start throwing invectives at people who you label "apologists".

In case you have not noticed, in Guyana, there are PPP apologists and there are PNC apologists. You seem to be blinded by that part of the reality. Nothing in your responses indicate your acknowledgement of this fact.

Your statement reeks of infantilism and someone devoid of a sense of history.

Like Kwayana said Guyanese act like there are “no guilty race”

So think about this statement you made:   their Law and Order Pose a Casualty of Class, Ethnic Preference and Gross Race Politics

So how much of the above do you attribute to the 28 years of PNC rule?.Surely, your history did not start in 1992, or did it?

And spare us….dont act stupid by resorting to cut and paste from above to argue with yourself.

Watax!! Hip Hip Hip Hooray.

South Africans hate Zuma because he loves East Indians too much. Read his speeches. He always mentions the contribution of East Indians to the development of South Africa.

If Indians in South Africa loved Zuma so much why did he lose support amongst this group?  Mandela got some of their votes. Zuma almost none at all.

And as to your nonsense about Zulus slaughtering Indians. Zulus militias have been more interested in killing other blacks, including Zulus who don't bend to their will, than they have been in attacking non blacks.

40 thousand East Indians became refugees in the Natal riots because of racial attacks from Zulus. The Zulus cannot try that with white people because they will never forget that the Boar killed 25 thousand Zulu warriors in one afternoon using Gatlin guns.

Prashad posted:

Read history Carib. The 1950s Zulus attacked East Indians in Race Riots in Natal. Zuma's father protected Indians.

Yes I read it.  This was a sinister plot by the white apartheid regime to have various non white factions fighting each other while leaving the whites untouched.

Do you think that had the Zulus dared to attack white strongholds that they would have been allowed to do so?  NO!  The whites ENCOURAGED Zulus to act out their frustration on another defenseless non white group.

In fact towards the end of apartheid once again the Zulus were used by the white establishment to attack other nonwhites. Again the plot was to have diverse factions of non whites battling each other.

The Zulus could have just as easily attacked Xhosas are some other black South African group, and in fact did so on many occasions.

In any case South African Indians HATE Zuma because he is corrupt and incompetent.  The fact that he has handed the country over to the Guptas changes none of this.  Unlike you not everyone is so tribal that their ignore their own self interest.  Corruption and blatant incompetence has adversely impacted most South Africans, blacks, whites, coloreds and Indians alike.

And the whites encouraged them to do so. Apartheid was about blacks fighting blacks based on ethnicity.  It was also about blacks, Indians and coloreds fighting each other. Every attempt was used to ensure that this was done and sadly Zulu ethnic leadership were often compliant with this, as they sought to preserve their own power.

The whites deliberately gave privileges to the Indians and to the colored, knowing full well that these groups, defenseless, would attract the frustrations of the blacks, the most oppressed of the group. An Indian or a colored could be a South African, albeit a suppressed group. Blacks were denied the right to be South African and denied the ability to even live in South Africa, except on a "temporary" basis once their labor was needed.

So yes I read up about South Africa.

And Prashad while you are on your Indo South African apology tour discuss the fact that Gandhi and other Indian leaders gave carte blanche to the white colonial leadership to deprive "kaffirs" of any rights.  They only became enraged when the whites treated Indians as only slightly better than "kaffirs".

Indians weren't innocents in South Africa.  They allowed themselves to be used by whites who sought to subjugate the indigenous black population.  Why then the surprise that this population saw them as invaders as they also saw the whites? Willing participants in a tool of oppression, which ironically also began to oppress Indians once it was fully put in place.

Prashad posted:

You should explain that nonsense to those East Indians who suffered under apartide.

Oh yes the irony. When the British first began to put in place racial segregation in South Africa Indians led by Gandhi and others screamed that it should be for the "savage kaffirs" and not for Indians.

Indians discovered that as much as they might try to be white real whites don't consider them to be.  So along came apartheid which strengthened racial segregation with Indians being reduced to being slightly better off than blacks.

Good Good, so far

ok . . . you're still in preamble; i'm waiting for the substance of your brief

halfway thru your post and i'm still waiting for your substance . . .

the subject of my post is "PPP apologists" . . . if I wanted to talk about PNC apologists, i would have created another thread

Your statement reeks of infantilism and someone devoid of a sense of history.
your attempt at "insult" is noted and gave me a chuckle

Like Kwayana said Guyanese act like there are “no guilty race”
you fatally misread Eusi . . . which indicates to me that you likely have not properly read anything he has written

So think about this statement you made:   their Law and Order Pose a Casualty of Class, Ethnic Preference and Gross Race Politics
ok, i'm thinking . . .

probably a lot; and it's not a good place for them to hang their hats . . . not sure what stupid point you are making here

Surely, your history did not start in 1992, or did it?
see previous

cringeworthy lame and incoherent; but i appreciate that you want to 'conclude' with a rhetorical flourish . . . one day you'll learn how to do that like a boss

pick sense out of nonsense above

I said several times on this board that I spell the word incorrectly as a protest against the brute discrimination and oppression that my brothers and sisters experienced under this abomination of a system. As for following me. It was never intended for you, an old goat, to follow me. My promotion of an independent sovereign country is for future generations to adopt the idea as the alternative to the racial discrimination and oppression in their lives.

What kind of idiocy makes you think that's a protest? You damn right to target the gullible young and not chance your bullshit with the wise. You want an exclusive, homogeneous coolie state as an alternative to racial discrimination... seriously? Effing amazing that you don't even realize the inherent racism in an exclusive, homogeneous society. You want to lead people?

I don't have to answer to you.  You are just some old goat who is so old that you cannot even bite Mr. Rohee.
