There are Guyanese and there are Guyanese. Not all Guyanese follow that trend. Guyana is still there and it seems good for those who called it home. If you are focusing on Guyanese on GNI, I personally believe they are all good people, but since they are behind a PC screen they get more power to BS than they are in real life. Technology gives every member a double life on GNI.

Guyanese are changelings. They morph into whatever shape and attitude that is currently vogue in the environment they inhabit. They have very few consistent behavioral mores except one; their capacity to fit seamlessly into any environment makes them dangerous top level ambush predators.

Guyanese will patently lug their empty bottles and candy wrappers to the nearest trash can in Europe and North  America. At home the street is the dump so they discard their trash anywhere and everywhere openly and without reproach. At home they will murder and maim their wives and girlfriends at the drop of a  hat. In these foreign lands they toe the line.

Are we law abiders? By a clear super majority we are not. As I said, you only have to look about you to see the grifts and the graft and the scam practices. Guyanese will scheme to the max to filch a dime rather than mobilize their skills to earn it the proper way.

Imagine if they actually took the time to do the work to earn what they want! Actually, the few that do  are not the real estate moguls and trades people you see in the news. Everyone of you will acknowledge that is the crooked clan. You wont ever know the hardworking conscientious and dedicated law abiding Guyanese. That is because because the first thing they do u.s use their changeling skills to avoid being recognized as Guyanese or to be well off.  They know it is safer way. It is how you can exist in a world where even your kin will scam you.

YOU ARE TALKING HOGWASH AGAIN. I am who you see on GNI. I don't pretend. My alias and language tell you that I grew up tough in a cane cutter family. I don't hide the fact that I live simply and don't care to know the personal lives of others. I always advocate for helping the poor. I talk a lot of shit here and it's all in good humor to irritate and aggravate some posters. I take the shit and give out the shit too.

So the Guyanese people should follow the politicians ? all Presidents with the exception of two ,break the laws of Guyana.

Something is amiss with the second statement.

Guyana is a lawless place where everyone who has no interest in following rules seeks to impose it on others. Over the years Guyanese have resorted to not oblige those obsessions. In foreign lands there is a very strong expectation of fairness and law abidance so we Guyanese don’t generally have a problem with falling into that mode. Guyanese politicians were at one time private citizens but being private citizens didn’t curtail their crookedness when they became politicians. That is because there aren’t any innocent Guyanese. Only ones who have or don’t have the ability to practice their crookedness.

Let’s address your first paragraph. Politicians need to respect and adhere to  the rules and laws. Some fools ( citizens) may think they can do the same, yes!  they can be influence . One example is what Shuman and the other two candidates  did with the presidential candidate ting ... . rite. However, all of us has  a responsibility to respect rules and law.

Second Paragraph: You asked  - can a Country  progress that way ( you are implying a country cannot progress if rules and law is broken) ...  correct... heh heh .  here is a example...

Nigel Hudges tell APNU 32 is greater that 33, APNU runs with his theory as  they squat in office illegally for over a year ... crucial laws to govern the sector are not in place - say Nigel 😊 just because APNU- AFC refused to respect the rules and law of the constitution....

Besides, I am surprised you started this thread  when you were supporting the government that 32 is greater than 33... se what I am saying, hope you get the drift.

I can't seem to follow your logic ,the above is what i said . You made the additions highlighted in the post.

Also where did i support the government  stated in your last paragraph , there are mention of this for awhile , which i questioned ,there are no answers. I posted the document that defines majority in parliaments ,based on Roberts Rules.

Sorry you made no case .

Here are my observations.

Most Guyanese living in Canada and England seem different from Guyanese living elsewhere. They are law abiding and almost never display the rum shop behaviour which I witnessed in Queens, NY. No offence to anyone living there.

With the exception of Some Afro politicians,  most Afro Guyanese are much more civil, courteous and respectful of others than our Indo Guyanese. This goes back to colonial times where Afros gained more exposure in the civil services while most Indos slugged in the Farms and Rice field. Some of our brothers and sisters still display a cane cutter mentality.

Enforcement is crucial. If you enforce the rules and law with severe punishment they conform quickly.

Just enforce the rules and laws with severe punishment and they will quickly abide.
