A mass shooting by a married couple that left 14 people dead in California is being investigated as an act of terrorism, the FBI says.

The pair had carried out "extensive planning", a spokesman said.

Tashfeen Malik, 27, and her husband Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, died in a shootout with police after the killings at San Bernardino, east of Los Angeles.

The FBI says it is also investigating reports that Malik had pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS).

Malik is reported to have posted a message on Facebook in support of IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi under a different name. The post has since been removed.

Immediately after Paris ISIS claimed responsibility. So far they have not claimed responsibility for San Bernadine. The FBI is now treating this as Islamic terrorism since the female claimed allegiance to ISIS on Facebook. Are these two killers lone wolves, or part of an ISIS plot?

ISIS delayed in claiming Paris and then came forward saying it was eight, after French said eight committed suicide.  The woman in San Bernadine seem to be an ISIS plant, well schooled in deception at the highest level.  This does not look lone-wolf.  Someone gave them technical support and advice.  Destruction of brand new phones, hard drive, etc seemed well thought out to destroy any links.

You just cannot trust any religious Muslim from the ME.  This will now force a rethink of immigration of religious Muslims into the US.  The Muslim registry is not such a bad idea after all.  Maybe we start with those from ME and other Wahab inspired conflict zones.
