I don't disagree...when is the PPP going to start leading by example?

Have they provided financial statements?

1. Has any political party provided an accounting of its sources of finances?

2. What are the legal requirements?

No but after 19 years and 28 years of the PNC should we not set an example now? who will this benefit in the long run? not the poor and the people of Guyana?

so are you saying that if the PNC did it, then the PPP can also do it?
stop asking about other political parties, let's start with the one which has the most opportunity to thief, and has done it time and again...DA PPP!

Quite simple ..

"What are the legal requirements for ALL political parties?"

Then this should be easy to prove, show us the source of funds. We know Ed Ahmad aint contributing since club tobago he has a serious legal fund he has to work on.
J
Any reports first have to be furnished by the PPP and then everyone else will comply.

After all the PPP is the one being questioned here because of their access to state funds no one else.

no one is driving govt vehicles to campaign, no one else is flying on tax payer dollars to campaign.

No one is using GOG credit card to purchase campaign paraphernalia.

any reports from PPP where they got their funds from? can they provide financial reports?

Reports from ALL political parties; NOT only from one.

I don't have a problem with that...let PPP get the ball rolling...they are the ones spending the most right now...lead by example and disclose the financials?
If they are clean, then the pressure will be on the other parties to provide sources for their funds....
Let the people see the books...!

Quite simple ..

1. Establish the legal requirements for ALL political parties.

2. Identify and follow-up on those in non-compliance.

I don't have a problem with that...maybe someone in the know can say weather there are currently any legal requirements ( I don't think there are any). After all, PPP adopted most of Burnham strategies, so I don't think they would have made this a priority...

Pretty much, whoever in power gets to rob the treasury!

Maybe AFC can make an issue on this....

Probably non-existent.

Hypothetical from your second highlighted statement ..

.. Were the AFC to ever be in Government, would they also rob the treasury?
FM
It is not hypothetical that whoever has been in office in Guyana has pillaged the treasury this we know.

How then do we account for the palace in pradoville on a civil servant salary?

Either Jagdeo is madoff's grand son or he has some genie which is granting him wealth wishes or Joe Hamilton shared some wealth with him.

The AFC clearly has said they intend to make the auditor general's office independent and give them prosecutorial powers.

This is like trying to like the PPP to ROGER KHAN. Where is the evidence? RIGHT?

Of course it is they want proof and when the proof is staring them in the face they dont accept it.

It is like this house of Israel Joe Hamilton situation, will the PPP / House Of Israel apologize to Guyanese for their treacherous past?

You are also going to dress up Joe Hamilton and send him and Vindi to Mandir and tell us that he is your guru next?

Is that the shit you are gonna feed us albert?
