Here is the message the PPP has for its 202,694 supporters who voted for the party in the 2015 election:

* A lot of PPP supporters are devastated. But these folks need to understand that the 2015 election defeat was the best thing that could have happened to the party.

* The PPP received 49.1% of the votes---they lost the election by only 4506 votes---it's not like the party was blown away by the PNC/AFC.

* Here is some encouraging news for hardcore PPP supporters. Before a single drop of oil flows from the Exxon oil wells the PPP will be back in office.

* THE PNC/AFC IS NOW IN POWER. LET'S SEE IF THEY CAN GOVERN GUYANA.

* Once again PPP supporters---the PPP ain't dead---the party will re-tool---they will re-focus---and they will be back better than before----and definitely less CORRUPT.

I have to agree. A retooled and modern PPP can win the next election.

With Moses being shoved it aside, it does not sit well with Indos and five years is enough time for the PPP to kick out the thieves and clean up Freedumb house.

My only fear is that the PNC can set up an elaborate election rigging machinery during the next five years.

Let us see what happens. Time will tell.

The need a total re-brand and have a new stock of non-divisive leaders of  known and new names.  They also need to have a credible block of non-Indos among the leadership.

* The PPP will be in opposition for at least 5 years---they have TIME on their hands to re-tool, re-focus, and re-brand. I am confident that after the senior party members overcome their huge disappointment about being rejected by 50.3% of Guyana electorate they will take the necessary actions to right the party.

the only way for them to be back is for Granger to double cross the AFC. Other than that they are in the wilderness for decades.

* If the PPP were wise they would work closely with Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo to reform the CONSTITUTION.

* By the way, I am not concerned about RIGGING.

* Anyway, I am curious to see if the PNC/AFC coalition can govern the country better than the PPP.

* PPP supporters used to say that the PPP will rule Guyana for generations. Well, they got kicked out after 23 years even though the country was doing OK economically.

* But you are right! If the partnership between the PNC and the AFC remain strong, the PPP will stay in the opposition for a while.

* IF PNC GRANGER SCREWS WITH AFC MOSES HE'LL BE A ONE TERM PRESIDENT.

PPP cannot make a come back with any of the old names.  The only one that would have credibility is Frank Anthony.

Cannot bring back Jagdeo, Ramotar, Gail, Rohee, Manickchand, Ashni, Chat3, Benn, and the old guard.  They would do well to push the young children of the old guard.

Nontheless, Coalition will clean up country and make it safe and PPP will be the perpetual whiner as it has now become.

The coalition and the Guyanese populace will not give the PPP a chance to wreak havoc in Guyana again .... so soon. Re-tooling means getting rid of the deadwood and it will take them more than 5 years to show a face that people can/will trust.

The PPP needs to hunker down for a wilderness ride ...... it could be 40 years! Go down Moses!!!

Moses is an old man. He will not be around in 40 years. Please be a bit more realistic. Moses is the AFC.

My Dear Reverend Antiman,

You dream Sir. You dream.

The PPP will not reform retool or do anything and Indians will ignore them as irrelevant homeless daags.

The Indians will support Granger NOT Moses and we will come to the conclusion that King Arthur is the enlightened despot Guyana desperately needs to rescue it.

None of those names should appear in the new leadership.  And I agree, if Granger runs a clean ship, bring down crime and work on equitable wealth distribution, they will be in Govt for a while.

* All of Guyana will be happy if the Coalition can make Guyana cleaner and safer.

* But keep in mind that there are lots of BIG EGOS in the PNC/AFC coalition---when EGOS get out of hand---disaster follows.

BOTTOM LINE:

* If the AFC Prime Minister ever feels ignored and belittled---that will be the end of the COALITION.

Ahhh stop picking at straws - after Moses (coalition government) there will be Joshua.

You and the PPP soup drinkers need to be realistic. You really believe that after 20-odd years of raping Guyana that you have any credible chance of governing again in 5 years? This arrogance is the reason that the PPP lost the elections in the first place.

That I am bright is self evident. I do not have to apologize to you for the way nature deposited me here on the planet. I am making a self evident conclusion. Only the AFC can bring Granger down. Also, Granger is not stupid he will not be partial to Africans. He will make sure Indians get their share. Further, AFC support was not mainly Indians so they are not motivated solely by Indian imperatives.

We know AFC has other supporters, so does the PPP.  Since when last were Indians 49.3% of the voting population.  And don't pull this Caribj sh1t about higher Indian participation.  With a turnout of 408k in a population of 750k, that is almost every eligible Tom, Dick and Harry plus every Tamesh, Divendra and Hari Om.

I speak of support based on his support base on which he will build tentacles into the Indian communities because their lives will be improved with no shame of their kin robbing them blind.
