Every Guyanese knows that Moses Nagamootoo lusts after the Presidency of Guyana. After 50 years in the PPP Moses felt that he was entitled to be President after Jagdeo. But when Jagdeo handpicked Ramotar to be the leader Moses was overcome by hatred, envy and jealousy and he bolted the PPP for the AFC.

No question about it, Moses played a pivotal role in the AFC gathering 10.3% of the votes in the 2011 election. But today Moses is a deeply worried man. He has been told that he will be the AFC's presidential candidate in the next election, but now reality is stepping in and Moses realizes that with the current turmoil in the AFC, with deep infighting among senior members, and with the Guyanese people perceiving the AFC to be the most hated and scorned party in Guyana, Moses now realizes that he will never, never, never, never be President of Guyana.

Poor Moses is now in a state of panic and desperation. He allegedly told a close associate, "if I can't be President of Guyana I may as well dead."

KARMA HAS RETURNED TO BITCHSLAP JUDAS MOSES---HE BOLTED THE PPP IN ANGER---HE SEVERELY CONDEMNED RAMOTAR AND THE PPP---AND NOW HE IS A MEMBER OF THE MOST HATED AND SCORNED PARTY IN GUYANA---THE AFC(alliance of frauds and crooks). MOSES GOT WHAT WAS COMING TO HIM---KARMA IS TORTURING POOR MOSES.

I know what they not do  have in common; one has an ivy league degree the other does not. One was a successful intellectual, the other a successful sycophant. One achieved greatness one had it trust upon it by a granny smart enough to supplant a bunch of stupid spineless Indian men.

Moses has serious political capital. Very few Guyanese politicians have that. Their success go hand in hand with a party. Jagdeo or Ramotar would be nothing without the institution of the PPP. This is not the case with Moses. If he takes over the AFC and teams up with someone like Nigel it is a sure 12 seats for AFC next time. They need to professionalize the AFC. Dump the moles that will come from PPP and PNC. Tighten up the campaigning and instill discipline in the activists.

TK:

Did you say Moses has "serious political capital" ?

Well, judging from the last election it looks like the only only Region where Moses has some political capital is Region 6.

In 2006 the AFC received 8543 votes in region 6; in 2011 they received 11,634 votes in region 6----that 3091 vote increase was due mainly to Moses.

But the Moses novelty has dissipated--the AFC has been exposed as a party of hypocrites and opportunists---and so if Moses is, indeed, the AFC's presidential candidate in the next election---he'd be lucky to match the 10.3% the AFC received in 2011.

Regarding those 12 seats you mentioned---wishful thinking!

You hit the nail on the head. In the 2011 election many Berbicians who voted for the AFC were led to believe that the AFC could win the election---they were deceived.

Now they realize that the AFC just wants to be a player in parliament---TK just mentioned AFC's goal of 12 seats would be a laudable one.

Next election Berbicians will buy into the argument that a vote for the AFC is a vote to put the PNC into the executive office.

THE PPP WILL REGAIN A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF THE VOTES THEY LOST TO THE AFC IN 2011.

Fact remains he created history. Balram Sinigh Rai, Ravi Dev and others tried but could not do it. I don't see how the AFC can have opportunists when it is costly to be part of the AFC. Opportunists are bountiful at OP and Freedom House. They are licking Ramotar's boots with sycophancy. Only the AFC can sef-destruct. The words of a genuine ignoramus and coolie racist really don't count.

I see you are quite adept at hyperbole and exaggeration. What history did Moses create ? The AFC received 8.4% of the votes in 2006(28,366 votes) and 10.3% of the votes in 2011(35,333 votes)---a 6967 vote increase--and you come here and declare that Moses created history ?

That is the history you're bragging about---Moses helped create a minority government ?

Is that what Moses and the AFC will tell Berbicians and other Guyanese voters in the next election---that the AFC's chief purpose for contesting the election is not to win but to keep the PPP as a minority government ?

Go back and read sledgehammer's post---he lives in Guyana and is in touch with the people---Berbicians will not support the AFC in the next election like they did in 2011 because they now know that the AFC cannot win a general election---and can probably help the PNC get back into power.

MOSES AND THE AFC WILL BE LUCKY TO GET 8% OF THE VOTES IN THE NEXT ELECTION.

Moses' political capital hedges on the PPP's continued flatulance Without the PNC the PPP would be nothing and without the PPP these square pegs would hve no round holes to dig into and entrench themselves with their bunker mentality. AFC seems to be collecting political garbage, refuse and derelicts to shore up ranks and may be losing the C in their AFC for AFSSDD -  Alliance For Same Shit Different Day.

Do you really know Moses in person ?

Listen! Since the man received his law degree his ego has grown exponentially.

It's great to see karma come back and punch him in the nose.

The more academic degrees guyanese get the more ignorant and backward they seems to become. Bottom line - Moses like everyone in the PPP are shaped and molded followers, they are trained watch dogs and now the masters have passed the Dog Pound over to the dogs they are fighting over the meatless bones in the masters cupboard. It has nothing to do with Karma it is just a wild pack mutts trying to act like dobermans. I got nothing against Moses or for that matter Ramoutar or even Jagdeo simply because they are what they are and one just has to accept what cannot be changed. Since the early 1960s and the expulsion of people like BSR the PPP has been home to losers , connivers, backstabbers , gravediggers and scavengers . The party has been scraping the bottom of the barrel for decades. Many of their stalwarts migrated got degrees and returned for gravy but they remain as ignorant and backward as the day before the left Guyana .

What did you expect the opposition to do, rubber stamp the budget?  What did you expect Nagamootoo to do, break with the opposition and vote with the Govt.  What's the point of an opposition if this was the expectation.  Has any member of the PPP ever broken ranks if they disagree with the PPP on an issue?  It is how it is and breaking the deadlock needs compromise on all sides.

You know one of the demand of the opposition, set up a procurement commission to oversee major spending.  This is not a political compromise or power sharing like what the PPP demanded back in the 70's/80's.  What is so difficult that the PPP cannot also make compromise and seek a solution.  The PPP is not all innocent though I believe the opposition should also do it's part to seek compromise.
