Regal Depart for NYSCL Independence and Legends Cup

Defending champions Regal All Stars and Regal Masters departed yesterday for the United States of America where they will look to retain the New York Softball Cricket League Independence and Legends Cup titles.

The Independence Cup will comprise of 12 Open teams, while the Legends Cup will feature 12 Masters’ teams, with both categories being played simultaneously commencing on June 30 at Canarise and conclude on July 2 at Roy Wilkins Park.
Prior to their departure, Captain of Regal All Stars Fazal Rafiek and Regal Masters skipper Troy Kippins both had expressed confidence of winning back to back titles.
Apart from Regal All Stars and Masters, Floodlight, Floodlight Legends and Speedboat are the other Guyanese teams in the tournament which will also feature teams from New York and Canada.
