President suggests eight nominees to Opposition Leader for GECOM Chairman

During the first meeting between representatives for the President and the Opposition Leader this afternoon, the President’s team suggested the names of eight persons to be considered for the Opposition’s list of nominees that will have to be submitted to the President for the GECOM Chairman.

Following the meeting this afternoon, Director General of the Ministry of the Presidency, Joe Harmon indicated that the real hammering out of the nominees will begin tomorrow.

The Opposition Leader has already put forward the names of eleven persons who were contained on the the three previous lists that were rejected by the President back in 2017.

PPP Executive and Attorney Anil Nandlall today said it must be noted that the discussions are now in the embryonic stage. He indicated that the discussions are just informal and it will be up to the Opposition Leader to submit six names that the President should find not to be unacceptable.

That chemo must have really destroyed Granger or he is just really wicked. When someone insists on a certain standard, they must at least have the decency to live by those standards. Wasn't this fool insisting that the nominees be judges?

Of course this  Ganda egg was insisting  the constitution requires a judge as nominee and had his hapless GNI supporters quoting the constitution as reference.

PNCR/AFC supporters thought that the specific sections of the constitution state that the individuals for consideration MUST be from sections (a) plus (b) plus (c)

However, the constitution explicitly states that the candidates can be from (a) or (b) or (c).

The names submitted by the Leader of the Opposition confirmed explicitly with the constitution.

I believe there will be a coup d’ etat in 2020 pushing elections to 2022!

I believe Guyana is heading in that direction.  I see troubles ahead that will make the sixties pale in comparison if you know what I'm talking about.  The PNC does not share power with its own partners in the coalition government nor does it want to relinquish power constitutionally through the ballot. In a mere three years Guyana has been taken back to the days of the notorious dictator, Forbes Burnham.  The PNC is currently whipping up racial tensions in the country by telling its supporters of racially motivated murders of Africans by Indians from the sixties to present day. Most or even all of it are fabrications and gross exaggerations. Lies after lies are being peddled about Indians love drug trade and Africans don't. Indians want oil money for themselves and Africans don't. Indians are carrying out atrocities on Africans and Africans don't hit back. Africans are not only the victims of Indo crimes but they have been robbed of their fair share of Guyana's economic pie.  The Indian and the PPP have stolen their rights and their bread off their table is the message being peddled through the country.

God help Guyana!

In Guyana where there are more Indians than blacks but where there are substantially more crimes being committed by blacks, one has to be completely devoid of moral capacity to suggest to blacks that Indians are the real criminals. But as long as they are comfortable with making excuses for their wicked ways, they will continue to be misguided as such.
