Georgetown, Guyana – (August 10, 2016) Cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday, August 9, was briefed by Minister of Public Health Dr George Norton on the matters raised in the Committee of Supply of the National Assembly relating to storage of government medicine and medical supplies.

The Sub-Committee met today, at the Office of the Prime Minister and was provided with an extensive and detailed brief with regard to the issues, needs and challenges related to the storage of medicine and medical supplies.

Sub-Committee Chair, Minister Trotman and Health Minister Dr. Norton, who has made himself available to the Sub-Committee for the purposes of providing information and clarifications, subsequently conducted extensive inspection tours of both the Sussex Street, Georgetown facility along with the Ministry of Public Health Supplies Chain Management Complex at Diamond on the East Bank of Demerara.

If Granger had one ounce of credibility left, heads of the crooks should have been rolling but his code words "the clock is ticking" means, tek bais tek.

There need not be a committee to handle this type of corruption, Granger need to make some heads roll. He is setting a very, very bad example.

Then again, he is a true Burnhamite, a dictator in the making.

The good news is that the President has acted quickly. Let's see what follows.

Gill,I believe President Granger will not accept any wrong doing, APNU/AFC complained about corruption under the previous gov't,their campaign was to change that, well we are seeing actions are taken, the question is how did the request for additional funding reached parliament for approval, were there not any oversight to detect fraud.

Granger is doing squat, heads need to roll, who the hell needs a committee to deal with this level of fraud ? An honest leader acts in the interest of the nation and fires corrupt officials.

He is now behaving like dictator Burnham, more and more levels of government and committees.

He needs to fire these the crooks in order to prove that he has any credibility left.

Get real man.

Let's wait and see, Bill.

Wait and see what?  Putting Granger to rule out corruption is like putting cyat to watch milk.  Right now he is the most stupid man in the country.  Any criminal can outsmart him. And they will!

They are doing it right under his nose, he is quite a dunce. All he does is creating more and more committees.

His motto: "tek bais, tek"

This man is proving to be the biggest clown.

Guyana gat more Advisors, Committees, and Ministers than most countries.  This is one big excuse to put his crony PNC friends on the payroll at the back of the taxpayers.  They are all a clueless and pitiful bunch of fools.

They are turning to be the biggest bunch of clueless idiots.

That handle suits you perfect...clueless id10t

I find this affair remarkable. First, the statement released by Bobby's company seem to indicate that the minister lied to parliament. Second, his feeble attempt to answer the questions of the opposition showed how ill-prepared he was to address this issue. Third, this seems to show that the committment that the coalition gave to stamp, out corruption was a hollow one and that they are involved in corruption. Larry Singh is a long-time associate of members of the PNC and AFC. Fourth, granger is trying to divert attention away from the immediacy of the issue when from what info is available, he needed to discipline this minister for the corruption, the lie and/or for being caught in the lie and corruption.

fifth, and more interesting is that Granger appointed a committee chaired by Trottman and made Moses a member also. This seems to shows in the eye of the president, a Trottman is more important that Moses. Moses seems to be a lil boy while Trottman got a lot of power.

Sub-committee of friends investigating dem own friends. Contract done sign and that rules.  Guyanese people screwed again!

Fraud and Exorbitant rental fees above market value are valid reasons to void contract.

If not, then they are just a waste of time and money over more short sightedness.

Did I read somewhere about a Carhy Hughes connection? If so how is Trotty useful to this committee?

Linden Holdings is same as Larry Singh.  Ms. Cathy Hughes is the owner of the building that houses the office of Linden Holdings.  In March 2016 Larry SIngh bought the drug storage building for $25 million dollars.  By an act of pure coincidence, the PNC government, made a deposit to invest in drug storage facility.  Guess how much it was - $25 million dollars.

Connect the dots!!

Makes sense. Anyone who boasts this as their other business venture can't possibly have the capital to buy the fixer upper house currently being converted into a warehouse bond.
