Preparations for the inauguration ceremony for Guyana’s 9th Executive President, Mohamed Irfaan Ali, scheduled to be held on Saturday at the National Cultural Centre, have begun.

A coordinator on the project, who asked to remain anonymous, told Stabroek News that preparations will be finalised today at 3pm, with minor things to be done tomorrow.

He emphasised that strict adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines will be the main focus and rigidly enforced, while physical distancing will be employed.

Money spent will be recouped. Many invitees representing other countries are coming with pledges of concrete support worth $$$billions.

What Business? I have nothing against anybody. Granger had a Ministry of Business and no business came. Ali is going to create 50,000 jobs, he be there for 10 years and never create 5 jobs.

They doan know how to begin. The very basic was never present in the PPP or the PNC.

It is Carry On Series, from the PPP to the PNC and back to the PPP.

Strange country, PPP 33 seats, PNC 31 seats, Extra PPL 1 seat.

Everyday ppl are getting bolder, from what went on for the past years, it is better to be invisible.

Inaugurations are the first display of a new beginning but the new government hasn't waited for the celebrations to be over as they have already begun the arduous task of rebuilding the country from the dismal state that the Coalition has placed it in.

Some moula going read in Arabic. Some hindu going to try to be relevant. Some Christian going to read about Soloman. Some rasta going bestow Jah, Salassie and weed.

Trying to out do Granger's coronation-black ppl Pride and Joy. Only disappointed.

He already created 4 jobs by appointing those 4 persons to audit the Coalition's activities of the past 5 years.

How stupid that was. The same four were investigating the PPP. Don't you see this is all about re-cycling money, some will end end up in somebody's bank account as kick back. It makes no sense.

Calm down bro. You are thinking through the premise of the incompetent PNC. Things are different, nay better now. We have a president who assured the public two days into his presidency that his administration will be results driven. You are not going to have someone like Clive Thomas being paid for five years and yielding no results.

Mr Knucklehead, After setting a world record for the longest time after an election for a winner to be declared, all Guyanese need to celebrate.

Did you see Mitwah and the AFC cabal in a basement apartment in Markham celebrating with Charrandas, Pandit Charran even took a drink, while Mits was clapping.

Like the statement the economy "capsaceing"  may the forces help that country.

Bai, the PPP may not know how to spell (remember that one 'devide' sign that one of their MPs was waving in parliament some years ago) but they sure know how to hire the right people to get the best results. Look how much more Pompeo ear time Mercury got for what the PPP paid them compared to what JJ&B was able to get for what the PNC paid them. Look how the PPP managed to send dead people and people not even in the country to vote on March 2 when the PNC like hawks were watching every voter. Look how the PPP got every country that opined on the 5 months PNC saga opined in their (PPP) favor.

The PPP may not be good at spelling but man, they sure know how to throw a knockout punch. Just ask the PNC.

Anyone who can pull that knockout punch on the PNC who Harmon bragged had their eagle eyes out on elections day should be praised not condemned. Williams was still lying just before the recount that the SOPs that the PNC had showed the Coalition won the elections. But you wouldn't hear me calling Williams a liar.

The University of Uitvlugt must be proud.

They should. Ali was able to raise the dead and get overseas people into the country that Ramjattan closed the borders of to vote for the PPP even with all of Harmon's eagle eyes watchers watching every voter like a hawk.
