PPP/C trying to cause unrest?
November 20, 2011 | By KNews Letters

Dear Editor,

From all indications, it looks as if the PPP/C is trying all tricks in the pack to have unrest in this country. Last night, what happened at the Big Market was one of the ways they are trying to portray that the other parties are bad and they are good.
The signs are there for all to see that they have nothing they could boast about without conflicts, so they choose to attack all who don’t support them or are a threat to them or put themselves in the way to aggravate people; but Guyanese have been showing them that they are not as the PPPC are trying to portray them.
Since the elections campaign started, I believe that the same spot was where APNU keep their meeting every Friday Night, why take them off to keep a rally there? I cannot recall the PPPC keeping a rally there for the past nineteen (19) years.
Apart from that, they are going to an area that seems to be controlled by the other political parties and when greeted with hecklers (which have been around since the formation of the PNC), they make all sorts of allegations.
Now if they are doing that, I would assume that it is ok for the other political parties to go into their stronghold like Enmore, Leonora etc., and keep rallies and see if they will get a peaceful welcome.
It’s only a few days more for election and I was happy to read in the papers of a reporter witnessing the hecklers being abused and the same reporter being assaulted personally by members of the Guyana Police Force.
It’s no secret that for the past nineteen years, reporters and cameramen are being threatened, victimized and assaulted because of the way they carry the news. I only hope that all media workers survive this election season without anymore incidents like what happened Friday night at Stabroek Market Square and everyone respects them for the job that they are doing.

It's time we kick back. You PNC stooges will get waht is coming to you. I will build a new prison on Hog Islands and put all you goons. I will also be the director of that Prison. You will be the first inmate.

Way to go Rama,...you will build one hell of a society that way in GY.
Inclusive is not a word the PPP knows anything about.
You people are a bunch of racist bastards.

Rama my forecast.

PPP 45%, APNU 35%, AFC 20%. PPP loses votes because the AFC gets over 20% of the Indo vote, and fewer Indos live in Guyana and more boycott.

APNU keeps most of its support base who seem to have bene recently energized.

The AFC wins Indo votes and also makes inroads into the Amerindian vote, due to the disappearance of GAP and trouble in the TUF camp.
