Former President Jagdeo should have never forsaken the PPP grass root supporters from Cheddi Jagan's time, and he should have treated Moses Nagamootoo fairly for his dedicated service to the PPP. These two blunders contributed to PPP defeat in two consecutive elections. One has to put himself in Moses position to know how betrayed he felt after giving his life worth of service to the PPP party.

Jagdeo took control of the PPP early on and run the party like a mafia to root out anyone he didn't trust. No matter how smart you are, one man cannot run a country all by himself. I hope Jagdeo realized this if he really loves Guyana and the people who put their trust in his leadership.

Defending the PPP on all ends is never the right thing to do. Sometime you have to acknowledge your mistakes and speak the truth.

Too late for BJ to redeem himself. These men never cared for the working Indians of Africans. They treated them with contempt...and they believe they will never lose political power. Well, massa day done, and the piper has to pay for his crime.

How could anyone believe that these guys were not corrupted. Every ordinary Guyanese knew they were corrupt.

The most despicable thing that BJ has done of recent is to invoke the Presidential immunity principle...in effect, he is throwing his colleagues under the bus and he is hoping that he will be protected under the immunity clause of the illegal Burnham constitution.

The PPP needs new leadership....Perhaps there is a shining light at the end of the tunnel...Guyana has to sink low before it recovers.

The sad reality in all of this is that it as the poor Indians who suffered then. and continues to suffer now...if you want to blame the PNC for their bad deeds, then you must also blame BJ and the rest of the cabal for taking people on a ride.

If the PPP is in or out of power, the politicians are well taken care of. It's the people that suffer the consequences of their mistakes. Indian people tends to put the past behind them and hope good time is ahead. But Jagdeo should have learned his mistake the first time he lost the election. He get fooled the second time around. The ABC countries played him and blindsided him. Before he can realize what went wrong, DAG raised his right hand and swear in as quack president.

When you are sobe you become a rational thinker.

Very good analysis .

NOW keep on your thinking cap and tell me if Trump will not end up in jail like Jagdeo.

You stay tuned until beloved Trump travel ban takes effects later this month. Make reservation to go to Canada. It looks like they're begging for trouble and rejects alike.

Wrong..they"re not begging for you. Bet you couldn't even come to Canada then try to go back. You'd be on this site days later posting from Canada while crying the blues.

I would have been a Canadian citizen three times over if I wanted, but I said no frigging way. It's boring like hell and too blasted expensive. Canada is a big waste land, and I am short tempered to deal with idiots like you.

Hi Vish

Why do you think is only one race of poor people suffering?

Vish's post was correct until that part. It is exactly what carib speaks about and some of the guys get upset and call him racist.

I see SFB must have slept in after his post last night.

Prince, why are you blaming Jagdeo?  It was Ramoutar who lost the elections. Nagamootoo only hang his mouth where the soup drip so he could get the Guyanese public to pay his a fat pension at the end of his tenure.

The main reason for the PPP losing is the growing mix race population and continued migration of the Indo base. The PPP can not keep depending on Indians to usher them to power. Only a few years back the PNC was a dead party until they changed their tune and started more inclusive politics. Now that they attained power, they are not so inclusive.

Everybody suffered and under both parties not just Indians. Everything else is right on the money.

I agree that Ramotar lost the election, but Jagdeo was his puppet master. He should have given the man space and flexibility to do his job. Ramotar would have been a great president if Jagdeo didn't meddle in his life. Jagdeo always wants to be in the spotlight like a celebrity who put Guyanese in this shit today.

Let me tell you something that you may not know. Churchill, Karimulla, Mitwah, etc., are PPP grass root supporters until they turn away. Those're only three that shared their concern personally that I know of. I heard endless stories like this in meetings and reunions in New York. I lost friends along the way. Some squeezed lemon juice in my milk on GNI. Spilling the beans doesn't make me another yuji, or caused me to like the PPP any less. Sometime you have to treat the PPP like your children when you discipline them to speak the truth and learn from mistakes.

If you think the PPP can win with only the Indian votes, well you are wrong. The Indian race is a steady declining race in Guyana and the mixed race is the fastest growing race. When Jagdeo makes statement that PPP is Coolie party, that helped them lost the election.

This is sheer speculation. Ramotar was president and his own man. He did nothing while in office and paid the price. Granted he did not have a majority in parliament and the PNC/AFC played interference every step of the way. Remember when the afc/pnc thought Jagdeo would run for a 3rd term how they had fits.
