The show, with President Donald Ramotar in attendance, opened to appreciative applause and murmurs from the sizeable audience who were later obviously enthralled with what was unfolding before their eyes.
The event was hosted under the theme, ‘Chinese Culture & Charm of Xin Jiang Guyana Edition’
First to take the stage was the Uyghur Dance Group who performed the ‘Rak Mugam’ , led by Mamatali, and Merpughe. This presentation was showcased with scintillating music and the dancers exploded in a blinding array of startling colours, executing pulsating moves, and mesmerizing choreography.
Next up was aerobatic handskill presented by Gheyret and he was loudly applauded for his mystical tricks.
The female group ‘Bowl Dance ‘was a crowd pleaser as the dancers swayed and sashayed, balancing bowls on their heads throughout the segment.
Also in the audience were Minister Clement Rohee, and Prime Minister Samuel Hinds and his wife Yvonne Hinds.

yuji, for your information, that same Chinese Association used to be thick with the PNC regime. Burnham, Hoyte and their culture ministers were guests of honour at the Association's events at their Brickdam headquarters. Leading PNC and CA figures had even formed a Cuyana-China Friendship Society.

Today, the PPP regime is the Association's buddy.

I bet you, yuji: if APNU forms the government in 2015 the Chinese Association will swing back like a pendulum away from the PPP.
