Funny, I received a call about a year ago from an Indian call center threatening me regarding taxes owed to the IRS.  They did not know Iā€™m a registered rep at the IRS.  I told him ok, send his agent to my home, but make sure is a female and she young and pretty and I will do a deal.   He start cussing šŸ¤¬ me out!

Good to see this being done. I received a few of those calls and wonder how on earth people can be taken by them.

Years ago I worked in head office of CBC/EFX collections where I have seen people making payments after receiving calls from a collector due to an error in their social insurance number or even their phone number mistakenly ending up the file. Every month I returned payments in the thousands of dollars.

The indian con artists are as brazen as the Nigerians were. They have more data to work with also.  I receive these calls at least once a month. My neighbor had his computer hijacked by supposed Microsoft support team. They even left a call back number. They wanted him to buy a virus cleaner, the only one that could take out his particular virus and free up his files. I called the fellow and cussed him out. They did not encrypt his files. They tricked him to giving them control of his PC so they can fix word and instead crippled the Operating system. We simply did a walk back to an earlier restore point to fix everything. These are low lives scamps.
