Former Member
Peter R. Ramsaroop,
MBA Chairman, Vision Guyana

As a former Presidential Candidate campaigning for continued changes to Guyana,
I have advocated for key shifts in our economic vision. I strongly believe Guyana
can become a Transport Led Economy.
I have had a chance to review the PPP/C 2011 and Beyond Manifesto and find it
refreshing that many of the key programs such as the Deep Water Harbour,
completion of the Road to Brazil and certain tax reliefs are all in the plan under a
Ramator led Government. In addition, the Presidential Candidate has promised a
review of the entire tax system including the VAT which I strongly believe must
happen.
I fully support these initiatives. In addition, as a leading member of the opposition
ranks, I believe Guyana needs a period of political peace and working alongside
each other to ensure that all Guyanese benefit. My discussions with the
Presidential Candidate and his team have given me the assurance that the strong
desire and will is there for all of us to work together no matter ethnicity, religion
or political affiliation for a better nation.
My decision is based on the Future "Winning the Future for All Guyanese" Mr.
Ramator is a family man and understand what it takes to run a household like many
of us and I strongly believe will be a President for all of Guyana. And I am
confident the PPP/C is the best and only choice for all Guyanese.

There are some people who choose a certain path and refuse to change course even though life says they're on the wrong track. Some people make mistakes and never learn.
On the other hand, there are people who are prepared to review their actions, admit their mistakes and change course as life dictates. Peter Ramsaroop strikes me as one such person.
With the best intention, Peter had joined other political organizations in Guyana, found them deficient one after another, and moved on to seek new paths and the true way.
At last, Peter Ramsaroop has found the beacon he was seeking in the PPP/C and its presidential candidate Donald Ramotar.
Enriched with experience, Peter will certainly be an asset to the PPP/C. He has a lot of know-how to contribute to Guyana's further growth under a PPP/C government.
B
Peter recognizes that, while not all political parties are perfect, that only the PPP/C has had a proven track record in governing responsibly and respectfully, while keeping continuous development at the forefront of its agenda.

Good for Peter. He is joining the ranks to hold Guyana up and to help keep the progress that they are making.

Bookman, Peter would make a good Minister of International Trade. But he wants to be President one day. I would not be suprised if there is another Burnhamite showdown in the PPP party in the future.

Peter is not a member of the PPP and never will. he will be a member of the CIVIC component, where he wll free to leave at anytime he so choose.. Concerning a minister portfolio, he was not promissed any. his name might not even be on the list. A technocrat's position is out of the question.

It was Peter's choice to endorse the PPP/C.

The CIVIC is open to all. Joe Hamilton is a member..

That premise is untenable, ie he found other parties deficient. He actually wrote extensively on the superior choices he made then and how poorly the PPP favored in comparison. You do not flip flop into loving those you claimed oppressed you and participated in your entrepreneurial failures and that easily. Only a few months passed he was complaining of oppression and selective prosecution in his arrest for "potential" unauthorized video taping and the unfair appropriation of his computer equipment. He claimed it was targeted oppression by the PPP! And the PPP cannot remotely show growth that quickly if he was telling the truth then!

You do not have to set us straight. We already concluded the PPP is an oligarchy.
