Bristol passed away last Saturday evening in the Bronx where he was residing with his family for the past twenty years. He was ailing the past two years. Bristol was very active in the political life of Guyana since the early sixties and was a welder by profession. He worked on the Demerara Harbour bridge. In the USA he became active with several pro PPP groups in the effort to restore democracy toe Guyana. Viewing and funeral arrangements will be announced later.

So sad to hear of Bristol's passing. I knew he was ill for some time but this is sad news. I always had very engaging conversations with Bristol on Guyana's politics. Over time he became disillusioned with the ACG in New York and the transformation of the PPP that he knew.

My deepest condolences to Bristol's surviving family.
