The joint Opposition parties denied the Guyanese citizens, especially those of the working class...a Specialty Hospital...shame...shame...shame

This is a good lesson for the PPP. Now they have to seek consensus for any projects going forward. My understanding is that this specialty hospital is really for medical tourism. This hospital can not survive financially based on just Guyanese patients. It would be cheaper to fly to Guyana than all the way to India over 24 hours journey. Especially for the sick. The next thing that will happen will be organ transplant and guess where those organs will come from?

The hospital will not therefore be beneficial [only] to citizens of our regional neighbors but could serve to tap into the US and European health markets as well since it is already known that many Guyanese leave their residences overseas to return to Guyana for optical and dental works.

Ramsaran said that for too long Guyanese had to leave these shores, sometimes alone, because of the high cost of their specified medical treatments as well as air tickets

The joint opposition is purposely standing in the way of progress and development, and is engaging in partisan policies, much to the expense of the working class

Too bad. When any of your politicians suffered a major heart attack he/she would have to rush to N.A. nor TNT to get emergency service. It's unwise to play politics with something that will help save lives and create employment for people. Guyana will the opportunity to be exposed to modern methods of medical treatment.

The hospital is for rich indians only. The poor would never benefit from it.
Now the REAL reason that the hospital building idea was proposed is because many of its potential users are either barred from entering certain countries like the US. So they are worried that they would be unable to get treatment.

The Guyanese populace should hold the joint opposition parties accountable for denying them a specialty hospital.....

Moses Nagamootoo should have realised that if we had such a hospital when Dr Jagan had his heart attack, he could have been saved.

ALL Guyanese will support the hospital when ALL the money is accounted for.

MOST Guyanese will NOT support the hosipital if MOST of the money is not accounted for.
