Shuman starts process to give up Canadian citizenship

Are there any genuine Guyanese politicians in Guyana today? These folks don't have Guyanese interest at heart. Where you find the other foot is where their bank accounts. These people are not foolish.

There will lots of vacancies for Guyanese politicians when all of them gave up their foreign citizenship. Charrandass has caused a big shakeup since the NCV. Every party has dual citizen members, old and newcomers alike. 

Did anyone check to see if Jagdeo and Granger hold dual citizenship status?

I think that most politicians in Guyana care about the country but the race card has destroyed Guyana. Hopefully a younger generation can change that and make Guyana a true multi ethnic and inclusive nation. 

As much as I don’t like Sheman running  for office, he will make an impact by 2020 in holding the PPP and PNC accountable.  This party is a threat to the PPP Amerindian Base. 

The PPP needs to take him very seriously and even offer an olive branch to him !

Quit the bull crap. Do you consider yourself a less than Indian because you live elsewhere? You are giving supremacy to a supranationalist doctrine here and yet having limits to nationalism in the Guyanese instance.

They do they do...candidates for citizenship of  hell and purgatory respectively.

Come to think of it, Guyana was Guyana under LFS Burnham. Eat what you grow, serve your country and live within your means. I believe it's time to reintroduce a semblance of Burnham's doctrine to fully understand what it means to be a Guyanese.    

Prince, many in Guyana miss being servants to their Masters , they are even marching NOT to have Election while many in the World risking their lives to have Elections. Talk about DUMB and STUPID Guyanese!!!

do you know Guyana as ever not practicing ethnic politics? To be a politician in Guyana is synonymous to belonging  to a an ethnic based tribal group first. Nationalism is of the ancient kind and not a multi ethnic and pluralistic summoning creed.

Burnham was a big mouthed air head who had plans galore but no successful way to execute since he was a racist dictator. Every one of his five year plans made us poorer

Diversifying ones economy, investing in infrastructure and balancing manufacture and agriculture are sensible starting points for all states. In the modern world infrastructure means foremost interconnectivity and banking services and a firm foundation in incubating technology and youth business. 

I believe Guyanese politicians who hold dual citizenship status are well prepared in the event that Guyana starts jailing political opponents, they will be able to shelter in a foreign country rather than applying for political asylum. Like a quick getaway or a safe haven. No wonder everyone steals so much from Guyana treasury with impunity.

If Jagdeo has an Indian passport I bet he never raised his hand and swore allegiance. I believe Indian passport has no effect on Guyana since Indo-Guyanese are descendants of India.
