I must say this when it comes to political involvement in the political system. The United States is much less racist towards East Indians than Canada or Britain. In Canada no matter how hard Nikki Haley try to fit into the Euro Canadian political establishment she would be just another Paki or turban jumper to the majority of Euro-Canadian voters and would be going no where fast.

hehehe, yeah she got married.
Haley was born Nimrata Nikki Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina on January 20, 1972. Her parents, Dr. Ajit and Raj Randhawa, are Sikh immigrants from Amritsar, Punjab, India.

Check and see how many individuals directly from India or with Indian origin who are, and also have been, Premeirs of provinces and senior Ministers in both the Federal and Provincial governments of Canada.

I actually had dinner with a Canadian indo politician recently. I am not going to mention his name here. But it is an illusion to think Indians have it easy in politics in Canada. Canadians in general are much more racist then Americans when it comes to dealing with South Asians the difference is that Canadians keep their racism hidden only to bring it out and use it at an important moment.

Your views of Asian indians in Canada, whether from the indian sub-continent, Guyana or elsewhere, and their involvement in Government and private sector activities are warped and misguided.

Her and Bobby Jindal are the two biggest Indian American fools in America. Indians should not be proud of these Republicans

Well I think that you are right. In certain parts of the United States such as in some deep South States they are seen as white people. Unlike Canada where they would be seen as just a bunch of Pakis or Turban jump-ups by many Euro-Canadians and Eastern parts such as New York/Boston and countries like Britain where they would be seen as black people.

It is your views that are warped and misguided. You have fallen for the illusion that Canada is not a racist country. It is an amazing marketing ploy for foreign investments by the Canadian state. You live in Alberta. I believe probably in the Red deer area where I attended an awards ceremony at the beautiful Capri Hotel in 2005 or Edmonton. Try running in those areas for political office in areas that do not have a significant South Asian presence or far left presence. If you win I will give you $5 dollars ($5 US dollars). The only good thing about Canada is free health care.

My offer of $5 US dollars remains on the table. If you win send me a private email so I can verify the results.

Slight correction, Sunil.

The individual's place of birth takes precedence over parents' place of birth.

Examples ..

Shirley Chisholm
1972 US Presidential Candidate
Democratic Party

November 30, 1924 - January 1, 2005
Also known as: Shirley Anita St. Hill Chisholm
Born in the United States of America

Her father was from Guyana and her mother from Barbados, who emigrated to the USA.

Arnold Schwarzenegger
Born in Thal, Austria, on July 30, 1947
38th Governor of California from 2003 until 2011.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria, hence the highest position he could compete for is Governor.
