New Cabinet announced and sworn in by President Donald Ramotar - one new Ministry added

Guyana’s Prime Minister and 19 other Ministers of Government were today sworn in by President Donald Ramotar at a short ceremony at State House today.

The list of Cabinet Members reads as follows:

2. Mohamed Irfaan Ali -- Minister of Housing & Water

3. Dr. Frank Christopher Stanislaus Anthony -- Minister of Culture, Youth & Sport

4. Alli Baksh -- Minister within Ministry of Agriculture

5. Brindley Horatio Robeson Benn -- Minister of Public Works

6. Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett -- Minister of Foreign Affairs

7. Juan Anthony Edghill -- Minister within Ministry of Finance

8. Dr. Nanda Kissore Gopaul -- Minister of Labour

Interesting line up ....

Ganga Persaud was the PS in the ministry of legal affairs when the contract was awarded to the group of Jagdeo's friends in the law books scam.....he signed the contract on behalf of the ministry but couldn't remember who authorised him to do so.....

Nanda Gopaul once was a close associate of Asgar Alli when they started their own political party....he once burned an image of Cheddi in a public anti PPP display.....Isn't he the chairman of one of the major government boards ?
