1 3/ x2 is fine if there are no flaws and if the wood is cured. If it is not it will shrink and crack after being milled and assembled. Let me know. Jatoba might flake. I don't think its grain is easy to deal with. Definitely want the wamara....about 50 pieces.

Air-dried for 6 years in Canada. WE manufacture high end benches.

Janette's research shows they are gone in commercial quantities.

Let's say 4'L x 1' Deep It's for autistic kids, they don't tend to sit still so it has to be quite sturdy. Maybe the depth being 1' might not do as well but it's in a hallway. It can have a backrest.

We did build a couple and they were held onto the wall by screws/anchors, they were yanked out in no time. The wall is concrete.

Benches built with Jatoba and Purpleheart-sold for $480.00 depending on the design. Mainly for sunrooms. Not durable outside. 

The benches are made of purpleheart-solid, heavy, durable construction, mortise, tenon, glued and screwed. It has a back 40" from the ground, 44" length, 19"wide seat 19" from the ground. Some were sold to private kindergarten schools.

Would it suit your application? The design fits the body like a glove. The construction will last forever.  

19" deep might not work, it's a narrow area (to code).  I am off work at the moment but could stop in and get the measurements tomorrow and see if it is possible.

Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) is a nice wood. I believe they are sometimes used on guitars.

If u only need Wamara, then how many pieces u need.
