East Indians and Dougla parents have to teach their children to be proud of their Indo Aryan and Dravidian roots. Other people may see them as Pakis, browns and koolie. But our children must know that we came from a great culture who had the courage to defend themselves against some of the greatest warriors the world has know.

Lord Rama was a great Indo Aryan leader.

Are the stories with Rama, Krishna, Sita etc true...were they real people, or is it more symbolic?

BTW, it's a genuine question...

Some claimed it's folklore and some true.

I have looked a little for the facts,I am an ardent follower of history.

Take a look at video.

I want to know if Django supports Carib's claim that Africans were treated as second class citizens under the PPP?

What do you think were they treated with respect ??

during his era Indians held top positions, friends and family and a few blacks benefited from the Gov't coffers.

So you came to the same conclusion as Carib that Indians were not treated as second class citizens under PNC's rule but Africans were treated as second class citizens under PPP's rule.

I lived during the PNC rule in Guyana, family, friends and myself never considered our selves as "Second Class Citizens".I can't recall being treated that way we were free to go any where,no invasion of our villages by PNC supporters.Indians were allowed to run their businesses.Burnham was surrounded by Indians. The Region i reside in there were two Indian Regional Chairman.Indians held top positions at the Regional Offices,Indian Headmasters,teachers..etc..

I can recall in the early 70's was living in Georgetown would walk from Plaza Cinema to Durban and Smith St,where i reside, passing Metropole Cinema 12 in the night and no one bothered me.

I can go..on..and..on

What's your story???

People who consider themselves as second class citizens probably have an inferiority complex. I've never considered myself as second class in my entire life.

Actually if you read Carib post he said Indians were treated as such.

They were real people. Read about your real history. You are here today because of the exploits of those great people. Without them you would be speaking Mandarin today. So show some respect.

Don't worry with him Imran.  His behind would have been called Ru Rong and he would have been shouting praises about how great Chairman Mao  is if it was not for those great Kings.
