Canada-based Guyanese investor pumping US$6M into coconut oil plant at Marudi

By

A US$6 million investment in the local coconut industry is beginning to take shape at Marudi Creek on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway and if all goes well the new initiative will position Guyana to significantly improve its coconut oil exports in less than a year. Other by-products of coconut will also be produced by the factory for local consumption and export.

The plant and office complex, which when completed will sit on 30 acres of land, is targeted for completion by mid-2017. Immediately thereafter, it will commence production of coconut oil, desiccated coconut, charcoal and coco peat.

Yes yes clown.  When these Investments were being done under the PPP, alyu all cry they selling the country out to their kith an kin.  Now the same people investing, alyuh jumping and cheering.  What a bunch of fools and jokers you all are.

Get this you clown, business people don't care about politics, they care about profits and policy.  So regardless who is in power, as long as there is a profit, they will come and invest.  This also occurred under the PPP.

Indian diaspora investing in Guyana, gives no one heart attack, they were doing so even under the PNC old days!

In fact I encourage investing in Guyana. It is you who ran when Granger came begging for help. The IndianG will go where there is opportunity to make money regardless of who is in power. They will run when no money is to be made.

What I decry is the lack of Black investment. Why aren't the Blacks bearing their fair share of the load by risking their money on ventures that may or may not pan out just like the Indians?  I know many Guyanese Blacks that are doing extremely well in the US but they have no interest in investing in Guyana like we IndosG's do.

In fact several notable GNI PNC supporters bragged about how the PNC would develop the nation but none of these folks put any skin in the game.  In the end they only wanted cushy minista job to leech off the tax payers, when this did not occur some accepted the lower stature of paid posters.

Isn't in interesting.  All the big bad Afro dispora, including the likes of Caribj and his surrogate D2, none seem to rush to invest and put the economy back on track.  They have one singular goal, to ensure the PNC rule over Guyana.  They will not put one [Black] cent (no pun intended) at risk.  Leaving out the Chinese and other expats, it will be the local Indo and the Indo diaspora to invest in Guyana.  Blacks are doing well in the USA but neither them or their kids have any interest in puting value at risk in Guyana.

The same reason you are not t here is why I am not there. The criminality in the society is at a level where one should weigh their options carefully. Also, I have no reason to care about investing. I am already invested. Also we have more crap to deal with here that is already too much work.

I am also more concerned with enjoying the last two decades of potentially healthy and useful life to see the world and do the things that makes life worth living than commit to other projects in dubious environments that can consume that time. You and drugb go there and leave a legacy if you care.

When they invested under the PPP and told blacks "Is not Burnham time" and refused to hire them THAT is what blacks complain about.

Now let them try not hiring blacks now!  Blacks will complain and challenge Granger to fix the problem.

And just be cognizant of the fact that 90-95% of the Guyanese Indians who live in North America work in white controlled environments so it is NOT in their interests to condone racist hiring policies.

This is rumor peddled by PNC operatives like yourself, not facts. And the 400 you claimed were murdered by Jagdeo were not boys but grown men killing the innocent. Whoever was responsible for their deaths are heroes as a great expansion in the economy ensued after the freedom fighters were neutralized. But you shouldn't worry, you would have been a target by those same 'boys'.

they are dead by jagdeo's tacit agreement to hand over security to a drug lord. It is not a matter if those fellows were good or bad. It is the anti democratic and corrupt misuse of state power for murder that will be remembered here and that fellow bears the blame.

More lies from behind the dollar store counter.  Where is the evidence of this? How come the pNC have not jailed him as yet after 1 1/2 year in office?  Unless you can prove this then you must put a zip on it. You folks made up these number, counting the dead twice and attributing old age, cancer, car accident, gun accident, rum shop chop up and other unrelated incidents to boost the count.

You started with a sentence that you know is a lie so why would the rest of your post suddenly morph to truth telling? I do not know what will happen to him but the reality is that as long as people like me live he will be one responsible for some 400 deaths via extrajudicial murder. The status of the individuals as murderers themselves does not matter. What matter if there is plausible deniability. It matters that some tacit understanding was in place that a drug lord acting as enforcement for the regime killed individuals deemed enemies of the regime.  The number are the dubious dead in the 2002 to 2006 period when the phantom reigned. Some say that number is larger and its citation is a conservative one.

Your response exposes you for the fraud that you are, peddling PNC propaganda that they used during years of mo fiah slow fiah and making the country ungovernable. You have no evidence of these fictitious claims about 400 executed. You probably even counted dead people from the 60's riots.

The PNC are currently investigating.

If Sat Sawh was killed by the PNC, and Jagdeo screamed that he knew who was responsible, then how come no senior PNC official was arrested.  The best that the PPP could do was pelt them was fecal matter and make anonymous calls with death threats.

I believe DG has a thread that is tracking the # of PPP jailed by PNC. So far zero is the count, but you continue to be hopeful after 1 1/2 years and umpteen investigations and forensic audits with billions of $$ going to PNC operatives to carry out kanta audits.  This is just a ruse to reward friends and family of the PNC. Only thing is that you have been left out of the soup bowl as they only offered paid propagandist job on an obscure website.

Maybe, I don't know, they should publicize it so we all see the PNC are not just a bunch of hot air.  What ever happened to the big Nigerian dealer who was going to take up the rice from the Venezuelan slack?
