Young Guyanese speed ace, Calvin Ming continues his excellent showing on the Racing circuit in the United States despite benefiting from the misfortune of one of the teams.

Competing in the USF2000 GP of Indianapolis, Ming took the second position in a race contested yesterday at the Indianapolis Motor speedway, finishing behind winner Oliver Askew, while Ricky Donison was third, Dakota Dickerson fourth, Callan O’Keeffe fifth and Ming’s teammate Rinus VeeKay sixth.

Ming and VeeKay, who drives for Team Ram in the F4 championship, benefited from the elevation in position due to a discrepancy which was found on two of the Pelfrey Team cars during the technical inspection after the race, for which they were disqualified. This resulted in Ming being elevated to a P2 finish, and his teammate to P6.

After the event, Calvin Ming posted on his facebook page a photo of the presentation with the caption, β€œPodium in Indianapolis Motor speedway!! Can’t thank the Pabst racing team enough for all their hard work. Let’s try to do it again tomorrow in race 2.”

Racing action is set to continue today and Ming and Team will be in action hunting more success
