Just last December this man all but accused the Coalition Gov't of stealing a reputed US$20 million signing bonus

We now know it was US$18 million and nobody stole anything or planned to steal

Hubris unbounded, he went so far as to claim that there was "absolutely no reason" to renegotiate the 1999 agreement (which actually improved terms and provided for the signing bonus)!!

Today, without skipping a beat, he admit that the $18 million is a legal fund, but lamenting that we woulda get more signing bonus money if only the negotiators were smart like he

see here:

Govt. fails to negotiate signing bonuses with oil companies – β€œEven the ExxonMobil money is just a legal fund”- Ram

Why the gov't. hid the money in a secret bank account?  Does it not arouse your suspicion of something fishy?

Whatever wrong the PNC did and is doing is all ok according to Redux. Carib, Redux, and Django do not see the PNC doing any wrong.

Give credit to Christopher Ram. He exposed PNC corruption which made Exxon hurriedly issued a public statement about the deal that was made more than a year ago with the government.  Exxon released to the media the document that was signed with the Ministry of Finance.

First, there was no β€œsecret bank account” ... every senior public servant at the Finance Ministry and the Bank of Guyana knew about it

Trotman and the other minister, stupidly obsessed with secrecy, dissembled and outright lied when word of the account was leaked to the media

that’s their shame, and Chris Ram did a great service to force transparency on them

Check the letter to the BOG establishing the account . . . that’s NOT what you do when you plot to steal

Didn’t Jordan continuously denied a signing bonus until after Exxon Mobil acknowledged it? That by all definition is not only secrecy but also deception.

Christopher Ram deserves credit for reporting that Coalition was in possession of a substantial amount of money which they failed to disclose in two consecutive budget deliberations. Nothing wrong with his current position that it could have been more as that position is also shared by Global oil industry experts.

I already said that he lied . . . what's your point?

Nobody said that there was anything "wrong with his current position" . . . the problem, as I pointed out previous, is that this went down in December 2017:
[Chris Ram] went so far as to claim that there was "absolutely no reason" to renegotiate the 1999 agreement (which actually improved terms and provided for the signing bonus)!!

uh huh

dude, if you have NOTHING to rebut, why waste bandwidth just because you can; or is it that you just want to pretend that you're 'challenging' me

Dude, you called the man a media w/hore for adjusting his position as he gets further clarification of the 2016 amended contract. Perhaps you may benefit from your advice and refrain from wasting bandwidth as you did when starting this topic. Or was this another weak effort to score cheap points for the hapless Coalition government.

And to top it off, you stated that you are STILL a GREAT ADMIRER of Ram. An admirer of one who you EARLIER labeled a media w/hore.

Last December, wIth Trotman and Jordan bobbing and weaving stupidly on the signing bonus issue

Chris Ram was hell bent on making an EXTREME case that the gov’t renegotiated simply to strongarm and steal US$20 million

i read all his stuff

to further this polemic, he absurdly declared the 1999 agreement adequate - no signing bonus  (or any other adjustments) necessary!

this is not about β€œclarification” or β€œadjustment” or an information deficit. The man is a professional accountant and lawyer

now he saying that the gov’t din renegotiate tough enough, and give away the store in accepting lil bit of money as signing bonus

And nobody slam him for this duplicitous nonsense?

Well, somebody has to

 i have NO sacred cows

and, yes, he still IS a great son of Guyana
