– file sent to police legal advisor

A MAN, who allegedly raped his eldest daughter decades ago, is now in police custody after being accused on recently of raping his six-year-old granddaughter while viewing pornography.

The 54-year-old Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara (ECD) resident is expected to be charged soon, after a medical examination confirmed that the child was sexually assaulted.
District Commander, Superintendent, Yonette Stephens, told Guyana Chronicle that the file has been dispatched to the police legal adviser pending advice.

The matter has also been reported to the Child Care and Protection Agency.
Reports indicate that the child was left with her five-year-old brother in the care of their maternal grandparents since the death of their father almost two years ago.

The children’s mother reportedly does not live with them.

It is alleged that the heinous act was discovered by a neighbour who overheard the child crying out in pain and went to investigate. The neighbour climbed on to a roof and saw the 54-year-old man viewing pornography while sexually assaulting the child.

The mother of the child had related to police that her daughter told her that her grandfather had interfered with her over a dozen times.

“I believe my daughter,” the mother told the police. “He should spend the rest of his life in jail.”

The children have since been removed from the home.

Another example that girl children are not safe in Guyana, much less from their own. This also gives a bad name to father/grandfather who would go out on the tallest limb to protect their children/grandchildren. This chapter ends with the victims and begins with the sexual predator. I pray that God may have some mercy on him.

CCJ to weigh whether 37 years too harsh a sentence for man who sexually assaulted child thrice

At the hearing of the appeal to a 37-year sentence for sexually assaulting a child, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Shalimar Ali-Hack said that the penalty imposed upon Linton Pompey was especially warranted given the specific circumstances of the case.

Ali-Hack was on Tuesday presenting arguments before the Trinidad-based Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) which is hearing Pompey’s appeal of the sentence which he contends is excessive.

The CCJ is Guyana’s final appellate court.

This Pervert should be sentence to DEATH.

This man should be hung from the tallest tree, pour honey all over his body, especially his lole and let red ants run all over him until he dies.

One of the preferable options.

Another one is to place him in a cell with a few bubbas.
