I think the game against Mexico gave us a false sense that the Golden Jags could hold their own in this tournament, but after watching the game against Costa Rica, clearly that's not the case. Their passing, offense and goalie are not good.  I'm a little more dissapointed in their goalie. He does not block anything within close range.

To date, the Lady Jags have put up a better showing in a shorter time.

Another issue I want to address is this mindset Guyanese seem to have when we beat a Trinidadian team. For example, our Rugby team recently beat the Trini team and it was a big deal.  Truth is, the Ruggers have been one of the top teams in this region the last 3-4 years. We were supposed to win that game.

Both Guyana and Trinidad futbol squads are average at best. Any elation we get from beating each other because of the mutual dislike we have will not carry over when we go against stronger established futbol teams.
