I believe my thread entitled "Delays" was closed. However, I am saying it again that I have been watching the election from the beginning, and each step is subject to unnecessary delays. Yesterday, GECOM had a postponement with its deliberation and today seems to be another delay. These delay tactics are only useful for APNU/AFC. GECOM Chair is deeper in the rigging ploy than anyone could imagine. She is giving days, hours, and minutes to the Coalition govt that's necessary for some unknown reasons. She continues to hold Guyana hostage in the face of the world. This is more than shameful.

She refuses to investigate Mingo, but she can't come to an agreement to make a declaration of the election.

She refuses to note what CARICOM and OAS said, but she would give preference to the Lowenfield report.

She knows the recount would take more than 25 days but She lied.

She was mandated to give her decision today, May 16, 2020. Yet, this agreement seems voidable (again). Something is terribly wrong here.

GECOM adjourns meeting to 15:30hrs

The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has adjourned its meeting to 15:30hrs today where it will continue discussions ahead of the declaration of the elections results – which is legally bound to be declared today.

The seven-member Commission first met yesterday – after receiving reports from the Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfield and the CARICOM Team – which was described by caretaker President David Granger as the most important interlocutor in the process.

However, yesterday’s meeting was adjourned to this morning at 10:00hrs.

GECOM is legally required, based on the gazetted Recount Order No.60 of 2020, to complete those discussions and declare the winner based on the credible recount process, no later than today (Tuesday, June 16).

Yes...and it is quite possible that she will suggest new elections based on "irregularities", which saying that the count show a win for the PPP?C. If thats the case she will also be hit with sanctions.

The coalition is exerting tremendous pressure, and threats, to get her to use language that leaves an opening for the coalition to call for new elections. This will not be over today, trust me.
