Who is this "he" you're referring to? Djangles?

What about your pro- government position? Is that free of bias, self-centered, myopic one?

So why don't you post some of the things he's done?

There are several Admins. Please name the Admin you are picking a fight with.

Instead of criticizing the Admin re Kwame, why don't counter with your alleged "good work done by Kwame." Else you are full of shit.

Isn't your position of the Government your fundamental right; like wise his?

Persaud says ministry to stand by police findings in probe of alleged MP assault

-APNU+AFC protests gov’t women’s day event over official silence

March 7 ,2021

Tabitha Sarabo-Halley

Member of Parliament (MP) Tabitha Sarabo-Halley.

Minister of Human Service and Social Security Dr. Vindhya Persaud yesterday stated that her ministry will stand by the findings of the investigations into alleged assault on opposition Member of Parliament (MP) Tabitha Sarabo-Halley.

Her comments followed an hour-long protest by APNU+AFC representatives who staged a protest outside of the Arthur Chung Conference Center (ACCC) where the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security (MoHSSS) is currently hosting an exhibition in observance of International Women’s Day.

Last Wednesday, it was alleged that Minister of Public Affairs Kwame McCoy had assaulted Sarabo-Halley in the corridors of the Arthur Chung Conference Centre just outside the parliamentary proceedings which were taking place in the main conference hall.. McCoy later issued a statement denying he had assaulted Sarabo-Halley, the former minister of the public service.

An investigation has since been launched into the allegations.

APNU+AFC MP Christopher Jones, who was among the protestors, said that there has been deafening silence on the incident from Persaud and several other government ministers who claim to champion women rights. It was on this basis that they decided to protest outside of the ACCC.

Meanwhile, Sarabo-Halley, who was among the protestors, stated that it is time to start ensuring that abusers are held accountable for their actions. She stated that the physical abuse that she was allegedly subjected to on March 3rd is what many other women are going through in Guyana.

She noted tht physical violence usually ends in death and maiming, which is why it is critical to address all types of assault with urgency.

Meanwhile, during her remarks at the opening ceremony of the ‘We Lift’ event yesterday, Persaud said that the incident between Sarabo-Halley and McCoy gave rise to two different stories and added that an investigation was done on the night of the incident. “The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security is committed to taking every report seriously and we will do so and we are committed to standing by the investigation carried out by the police,” she stated.

Police have submitted their findings to the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.

I bet this will back fire on Sarabo,  it will prove there was no contact,  just verbal attacks by both sides.

It all a political plan by the PNC ,laptop missing, cell phone missing and now cell phone attack woman. Drama and more drama as opposition.

Even if that is the case, does there have to be physical contact for it to be deemed "assault"?

You don't seem to understand the way a discussion forum works. The admin here is also a poster. In his role as a poster or admin, he is not obligated to present both sides of a story. He is not a journalist bound by "fair reporting".

He presents his thoughts and they are examined and countered. As an admin he is bound to moderate the site FAIRLY regarding the behavior of posters and NOT their viewpoints, to allow free and fair expression of viewpoints.

You are wailing about nothing. You're just too damn stupid.

Kwame's Protege, were you there to prove there was no contact? you neglected to mention the history of the alleged assailant. Granger spared this provocateur an ass whipping in Sophia during the 2015 elections, did he not?

You made the statement. You need to answer the question, not me.  Imagine the PPP and its sycophants defending and promoting a rotten pedophile.  How much lower can they get?

...THIS, right here! Where else in the world would someone with this type of a recording on a phone be allowed to hold national office? They couldn't find ANYBODY else to be a minister?

Imagine the clown Prime Minister...."because they know Kwame is a soff spoken boy". SMFH at this fool! And he's a military guy! I guess everyone is for sale in Guyana.

You do know that a "thumbs down" for my post doesn't constitute a reasoned response right? Kwame has a history of coarse (to put it mildly) behavior, so there is precedent. It's easy to see him doing that which he was accused of.

But then again, I ask the impossible of you, you simply do not know how to craft a response to anything. Your gay talk aside, you hate every black man with a passion and see everything thru the lenses of race. Indian man good, black man horrible and all the evil stereotypes you Indians assign to us.

It is this racial hatred in the likes of you, Nehru, drugb, Baseman, skeldon puss, inbred dave and others that put GNI on a list for hate sites.

I couldn't believe the shit I was reading here when I first visited. No wonder Rochelle and I are the only black folks left (nd she no longer posts).

Even today, the Jangle man owner is quick to pull the trigger for lil cussing, but the race hate continues unabated. Take notice - it's a different day in America. You spread your race hate and society won't be kind to you.

I think it has a lot to do with 'blak man' bullying in their youth and McKenzie, guana! Then, also Burnt ham's thugs!

I've only encountered, Nehru the kant and kp! The other racists, I haven't!

It also has to do with their almost genetic predisposition to hate black people AND fellow Indians who do not share their racist views. I get their reservations about black people due to the racial violence and injustice they suffered. But it's the usual mantra from them - Indian man all good, black man evil and black people are inferior to them. A classic definition of racism.

Black people also have reservations about Indians, but it didn't stop us from opposing Burnham. Their hero Cheddi hid like a coward and cowtowed to LFS. Whipped. It took a BLACK man, Dr Walter Rodney to mount any opposition to LFS. It took the same Eusi Kwayana that they call racist to oppose LFS. David Hinds, who suffered at the hands of LFS.

Never once do these racist Indians who post here or used to post here ever stop and reflect on why men like Hinds and Kwayana turned on them. It's their clannishness, their racist views that they are superior to black people.

They want total dominance over black folks and 100% control of state assets. They see it as their exclusive patrimony. You see it expressed here sometimes when they show up to post.

One had the audacity to proclaim "black people are the scourge of the earth". He still posts here. Your fren Jangles wails about a cuss word or 2 but refuses to ban these outright racist folks from his site. His moderators skin their teeth with these racist vermin. Well, people are watching. It's a different day in America.

I think it also has to do with facial appearance and inherited cultural differences, guana! I found and sent a picture of a jet black African girl, an fing beauty to die for, to the Chronic's manager labelling it as 'African monkey', as well as to the NYT! I once suggested to Hamilton Green that perhaps Guyana should encourage people from Sudan and Eritrea, especially ( my late wife's also late aunt, a world traveler, once told me that she thought Eritrea women were the world's most beautiful women), to migrate to Guyana, because people there look like a blend of African and Indian, to help the two.major groups merge! Only then will Guyana be.one people! Of course, the other smaller groups will have to be protected and allowed to either stay in their groups, if they want, blend, .or migrate without any bullying!

There are NO Africans or Indians in Guyana! Only ethnics!
