This is the biggest blunder....why this guy...?

The others are the Agriculture Minister and the Home Affairs Minister....this is really a surprise and shows the PPP is more interested in rewarding mediocrity rather than finding competent people.....

With over 233k PPP/C voters and only about 25 minister jobs, there are bound to be a few mistakes and disappointments.

Why not ? Just because the PNC don't like him ?

Wait before passing judgement.

No, not because the PNC dont like him...ts because of the image of him associated with being a pedofile...among other things...see Freddie Kissoon article today.

Is this the best the PPP can do? In 2020? After fighting for this election?

We have a right to pass judgment because they know better and to have this guy so close to that much power shows incompetence and mediocrity on their part...this invites a lot of buggery...if you know what I mean.

Hamilton, a former PNCits is another has been....

They need a tough guy do deal with the PNC.  McCoy can handle that part of the job.

This is ridiculous...and only emanates fromn the Indian mentality. Why does a government freelt elected, with a tough like Jagdeo running things, now need a "tough guy" like McCoy to be tough for them? Is the PPP in government, but not in power?

This is a bad start....they should ditch this pedofile and little dictator.

Bai, you need someone like Hamilton to deal with Lewis. It's a much bigger issue than you think. Smart move by the PPP.

naw, it shows the weakness and mediocrity at play....with all the good will the PPP has, they dont now need a pit bull...they need to do what is right....you people fully know this.

I have listened to Hamilton a lot recently. He does not sound like the person he was back in those dark PNC days. And even bigger than that is he does not hide away from his past. He speaks of it very honestly and explains where he was and where he is. That is the kind of maturity one can be pleased with. It is as if he has gotten to know the Christ Himself.

Kwame appointed to watchman  Prime Minister Philips.

I don't think so. Did you see when all the commotion was going on in Ashmins building back in March how cool and calm Phillips was talking with the people around him? He is not easily rattled if at all. Plus part of his portfolio includes being on the defense board so he is back in his comfort zone. Hinds was an engineer and thereby more on the quiet side whereas Phillips is a retired army Brigadier who seems to command more respect and attention from the army than Granger did even though Granger was President. If President wanted a pushover he wouldn't have picked an army person with the command that Phillips exude. Phillips will straighten out Kwame.

He is a minister within a Ministry.  All appointments were well thought of.  Kindly wait until they screw up something before you chastise the man. Then again we will blame the PNC cabals.

Were you looking for a job and didn't get it?  You are saying things that came from speculators and you are making it your personal vendetta to lambaste the Former President.  I am disappointed in you, sir.

You should not be a cool aid drinker. I dont have a horse in this race.

Perception is important here....Kwame should never be allowed anywhere near any government....there are other square pegs (like Ramson in youth and sports), but this one takes the cake.

You boys need to stop judging what the PPP is doing by the PNC yardstick. Guyanese deserve better.

Why don't you tell us what is better than the PPP? Do you believe in second chances? Had it not been for second chances, there would have been nobody left to run the country.

Thats foolishness....you mean to tell us that in all of Guyana (and outside of Guyana) there is no one who can do this job except an alleged pedofile? What world you living in?

If I remember correctly, some of you were saying that you need McCoy to deal with other blacks (presumably because he can act like a bully). Is this the consideration that led to this decision.

You are missing the big picture....this appointment by itself will open up unnecessary criticism of the new government (see Freddie article).

This brings back bad memories of a corrupt, immoral PPP that ran Guyana for 23 years....

The state of mind you have comes from the mentality of GNI members who can't stop speculating.  They tell lies and repeat it so often that guys like you and Tota start to believe them.
