Two new judges sworn in
Former Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and former Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Jo-Ann Barlow were today sworn in as Puisne Judges by President David Granger at the Ministry of the Presidency. (GINA photo)
This is good progress. Why couldn't PPP do things like that? WE need a few more judges to fully staff the Courts, remove backlogs and make the system efficient and effective. You have to give Coalition credit for approaching things with some sense of urgency and fixing problems.
This is good. Too bad that Chancellor Singh has to stand there and smile and swear in other Judges and Granger would not confirm him in his position.
I taught Barlow at UG in the early 80s. Glad she has moved up.
