I agree with you. This man needs to step back. I do not care to see him, Plumpy, Rohee,Donald, Anil etc carrying the PPP's torch. They need to have new faces who are educated, young, charismatic and personable individual fronting the party. These old heads are tainted and if they want to win again need to take a step back.

Instead of jumping on the opportunity of the day, they also need to have solid plans inclusive of promises to reform the constitution. They need to be bold and identify failures within marginal communities and speak directly as to what they will do to rescue those group. People are so fed up with the completely insipid pomposity and vacuousness they will gladly abandon Granger.

The AFC just lost it's opportunity to make a difference. At this point Guyana needs hope. The APNU is not offering any and there vague hints that they do not have the people's interest at heart but their personal greed for power. We are on the precipice of being awash with cash to do everything a government desires and the APNU is definitely not up to that task. The Present incarnation of the PPP also do not fit the bill. The first of these party to show a difference will be in office next time.

I agree. Jagdeo and some  in the PPP are carrying too much baggage against the people, who have much animosity for them. Especially for Berbice officials.

The PPP is a good party and with the AFC no longer a valid show, the PPP  has a good chance of regaining power,  but the existing leader must  step-down, for this to happen.

Many in Berbice are seeing the failure of the Skeldon factory,  resulting in what the PNC is doing to them and that failure is related to one person, Jagdeo.

He padded the CC and party so well with his in-crowd, that it might be difficult to change and the PPP will continue to lose elections.

Cain. Tola and others need to address the issues raised by JAgdeo rather that the labelling that has gone on here. Their behaviour indicated that they have nothing other that the garbage that they have posted to counter what Jagdeo has said.

Regardless of whether we like it or not or accept it or not the following are realities

1. Jagdeo was chosen by the party that he leads to be the leader of the opposition and its general secretary. Many here might criticize how that was done, but many here were members and supporters of the party when that system was used to select previous leaders and they said nothing.

2. The PPP received the support of almost half of the electorate so Jagdeo represents the viewpoints of nearly half of the population. You might disagree with him, but you live abroad and are not directly impacted upon by the actions of the present regime.

3. Regardless of the reason for voting, people have an inalienable right to vote for the person of their choice. AtTo characterize this as not democracy is illogical and poor understanding.

4. The present regime, because its ineptitude in managing the economy, its actions that negatively impacted or will negatively impact groups whose support that it needs to stay in power in 2020 seems bent on creating conditions for the PPP to return to power.

Jagdeo is winning Berbice hands down in 2020!!

Sure 99.9% of the votes.  Especially from families  of youth who took their own lives.  After being sexually assaulted, while looking for jobs in government offices.

Sometimes it's better off you remain quiet then we can only assume you are intelligent.  Making baseless statement can be libel.

Baseless eh !!  You got the wrong Baseless.  You should look up the court cases that did not go anywhere and better yet, go talk directly to the families who lost children.

Why  when someone with ground experience speaks of the evils of politicians,  they suddenly lack intelligence or support another  party ?

What intelligent experience do you have to dispute my statement ?

President Jagdeo is the President of the East Indian people of Guyana and some Douglas of Guyana.  He should be addressed at all times as President Jagdeo.  Dr Doom (PHD in Anti koolie)  is Hamlitoon Greene the godfather of this racist anti koolie squad that now rule over East Indian brothers and sisters of Guyana.

For the record Moses did not leave the PPP because of Jagdeo. By his own admission, he left because Ramotar was selected to lead the PPP. My guess is many others left because they too thought they will get position if they leave.

They knew Ramotar was "selected" by Jags to lead the PPP because he is useless and Jagdeo was going to be the puppeteer.

Bai Cain. Put on your thinking cap. If Jagdeo was such a wicked assassin, why would he pick a weak leader like Ramotar when he could have picked the Tamil Tiger especially since the Tamil Tiger wanted the job so badly. Afterall, the Tamil Tiger would have been a puppet to Jagdeo just like he is now to Granger,   er I meant to Harmon.

Stormy, if the PPP were to assemble new faces who are young and educated, they will be accused of beating up on the old hapless folks in the current government.

Madresi Moses Nagamootoo.

Posters  like Churchill don't like this name, that I believe was given  by Gilbakka.

Nagamootoo wrote a book about his Madresi  religion and fisherman life at Whim, Berbice in  1950/60s,  called 'Hendree's Cure'.

A 1961 film is available about the Madrass church at Albion Front.. made by a US doctor, who lived there for a year studying the religion. It was screened at the 1988 Indo Caribbean conference at York university. One hundred fifth years since the first indenture labourers went to Guyana in 1838.

Don't scream that it is taboo to discuss Jagdeo because quite clearly he doesn't plan to disappear.

Who represent a scant 40% of the nation.  So of what right does Jagdeo claim to be a national leader.

By his own admission he screamed that the PPP is a coolie people party, and that its support comes almost exclusively from rural Indians and that it intends to take back the country solely for this group.
