There’s only one cure for this behavior and unfortunately we have to wait for the grim reaper to out these old fogies. Hopefully their offspring have not been tainted too much to continue in the footsteps of these racist sickos.

Are you making this statement with the folks in Guyana or America?

I agree wid Mars post above. There is no way in hell the ingrained, born and bred RACIST thinking of the cow shit eating bramanananana, suckaton man, baseman, "dave", nehru, goady man, rat man, et al will change. Dem barn suh and gon dead suh.

Concerned about them passing it on though. D2 made a point a while back - the ease dey embrace racism is almost like it's genetic.

The best government can do is move to curb these racists by policy, starting with constitution reform where winner doesn't take all. Hiring policies, other non discriminatory policies etc. And it should start first in the political parties.

THIS RACIST SHAMELESS ANIMAL IGUANA HAS THE BALLS TO CALL OTHER RACIST WHEN HE IS AS RACIST AS THE WORST SKIN HEAD, DUMB AS A GOAT, IGNORANT AND ILLITERATE AS A CAVE MAN( AND THAT IS BEING UNFAIR TO A CAVEMAN). SO SEE WHY NOTHING WILL CHANGE, WHEN YOU HAVE RAW SEWAGE LIKE IGUANA WHO IS RACIST TO THE BONE BUT IS TOO ILLITERATE, IGNORANT AND WELL TRAINED BY YSM AND OTHERS TO BE MORE RACIST THAN PW  BOTHA AND  and Ian smith combined, you know there is no hope!!!!

Doesn't happen in Guyana or wherever Guyanese live, only on GNI.

That's not true. This year I attended a function with predominantly blacks and invited a guest. After socializing a bit I returned to my guest who confided to me, in a hushed tone, his surprise at the evident respect and friendliness. I asked what he meant. He said "well.. you know... black people..." It took me a while to digest. I advised him that he and all his coolie friends who grew up on their verandahs being brainwashed by their ajas and ajis need to descend and be part of their country and mix with their country men and women. I always thought the same as you but this coming from a 30-something Guyanese, educated male was unsettling.

We can move on if "All lives matter and not just black people lives"

I might start a new movement "ALL LIVES MATTER".

We already know all lives matter. The motive for the BLM movement is that black lives do NOT seem to matter.

What makes you think all lives don't matter?

If all lives matter, why do your people emphasize "black lives"? I am not SMFH.

See previous post.

It's a matter of perception.

Not really. You would have to be blind and deaf not to notice the blatant discrimination and vicious prejudice perpetrated upon one segment of society by another.

Your argument doesn't hold water. If black lives matter organization look in their own backyard and do believe in what they preach, why don't they protest the gun violence of blacks against blacks? How come this does not matter to them? How come when they slaughter policemen, black lives don't matter? Only when a white cop justifiable shoots a black man, they protest?

Anta, a good question to ask, but I an not sure who is "we". If you are referring to the people on this forum, then it is just a reflection of what is transpiring in the homeland. As long as each group continues to antagonize the other wherever they ascend to power, then you will not see this in your lifetime. Some may shout that people need to die off before this euphoria of yours comes to pass. However the reality on the ground in GY is that PNC purged Indos from jobs on ascending to the throne, and treated the Indo sugar workers as second class citizens. Similar claims have been made of the PPP.

If the "we" refers to the Guyanese public at large, as long people vote race rather than issues, then again they are back to square one.

There are lots of protests against gun violence be it any color against any color. Some of your questions are pointless. It's already been more than proven that not all shootings of blacks by white cops are justified.

So you're willing to encourage people to not vote race?

Did you mean utopia instead of euphoria?

utopia. Of course I prefer issues over race, and some do. But given the past sins of the PNC I would never support them, and now we see I am justified in this bias guven their race based governance and mismanagement of the economy.  But by large, the majority vote race. The PNC got elected on failed promises. Now we will see if the people fire them or stick to racial politics.

Sadly it's still being perpetuated elsewhere. Few months ago I was with a younger male and single relative at grocery store and the cashier was very attractive. She also happened to be mixed. I pointed her out to him and suggested he start a conversation with her. His response, "sorry, I can't go there". This is a kid who was born here but was raised racist.

So we should accept your hint that your dissatisfaction with the PNC and approval of the PPP is not race-based? Are you unaware of the many atrocities committed under PPP rule, their blatant discrimination and corruption? How does that factor in to your decision about which party to support? Based on your comments on this forum, why do you expect us to believe you would not vote race?

Definitely is. Makes you realize this will take longer that we thought to purge this epidemic.

You get a picture of the mindset of some here when they have to clarify who "we" is. I always thought that here on GNI, the "we" meant Guyanese. Wasted a whole thought there.

Even if PPP do not say it, they practice the same philosophy to the detriment of Guyana. There was very little progress under PPP.

During a lengthy stay in GY, we addressed  this question to teachers, who  seem to feel the existing Guyanese environment creates this continuous situation of racism and disharmony.

They feel if hundreds of children are taken from Guyana to neutral countries to be influenced by that society and  when they return to Guyana as adults, it might start to create a change of harmony, by them possible becoming leaders.

For example, most Guyanese overseas lives together  in Toronto, New York and London and are continually influenced by the existing Guyanese atmosphere, as displayed on GNI.

But some that live in areas for decades and are  influenced by harmonious societies,  have difficulty understanding the selfishness and racism that is happening in Guyana and GNI.

This is not a criticism, but an observation.
