I am happy to announced that Donald Trump did well in his home state of New York. I cast my vote for Mr. Trump @ 7:00 AM yesterday. I saw some very familiar faces at my poling site except for Vish M. Unfortunately, many registered democrats wanted to vote republican but is was not possible. However, a very many new registration forms were handed out to those who wish to change party to vote in November. Perhaps Vish M can explain why NYS is leading towards Republican.

1.8 million voted for either Hillary or Bernie while 869,000 voted for the Republicans...with those numbers, couple hundred Indo democrats wanting to vote for Trump in Nov is not a problem...

BTW, Hillary got 1.054 million while Trump got 525,000....looks like a runaway train to me

So far Hillary got over 10 million votes...more than any Republican candidate

Leaning Republican??? hmmm...someone needs math lessons

Cobra,

A DEM can vote for any person including Rep at the primary but it must be a Write-In Candidate

If your poll Site was PS 161 then you meet with me as I the Co-ordinator

I am still @ PS 100, Glen Morris. That's my voting site as well. You was there last year as I can remember. Congrats on your coordinator's position. Dr. Dhanpaul was there.

Since November 2015, RHEDC started to distribute 12,000 Voter Registration Forms.

All merchants along the Liberty Avenue business corridor were given a stack of voter registration forms, and with the local Libraries in Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park.

RHEDC hosts a weekly Senior Citizen Information Session that attracts 30 to 200 seniors per week. Each senior is given 10 forms weekly to distribute in their network.

Each Mandir and Masjid in the Jamaica, Queens Village, Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park were given 250 to 500 Voter Registration Forms.

In addition, RHEDC hosts a weekly Conference Call to advance Voter Engagement. Over the last few months, we were able to Identify Bills in the NYS Senate and Assembly that can be advanced with our votes.

These bills are advancing the Diwali Holiday, The Indo Caribbean Educational Curriculum, the Punjabi and Muslim Garb Bill.

RHEDC is thrilled with the increased in voting in the Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park communities.

Vishnu,

Keep up the distribution of those forms for many Guyanese although they are residents are still not registered to vote.

Our religious institutions within our community has to do more on educating thier congregation about how important it is to vote.

Chief,

Thank you for your encouraging words.

I am meeting with the "Mouzam" from Al Abadin shortly to provide voter registrations forms in preparation for the month of Ramadan.

I will also ask him to reinforce your suggestion.

I also have a weekly forum every Sunday at the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir

Chief, do you tell people who to vote for like you did in Guyana's election?
