You have a malware problem The software telling you that you have a problem is the problem. Tell us the name of the program informing you of this infection

I re-booted the computer and am running this program from microsoft site: Micro Soft esssentials ... it disocvered this one so far
Rogue: WIN32/Fake Rean... it was removed.

The scan is still running. Hope when I get back home tonight it will fix be fine.

Been in serious computing including doing computer forensics, security and defence and never saw a computer with 26 virus/malware. I used to hang out (as part of my job) with hackers and hacking sites/warez places and some of the grimiest backrooms and darknets on the internet and never intercepted more than a few attempt to implant something. The internet is dangerous but any software that tells you that you have 26 malware/trojans/rootkits etc is a fake. I know McAfee did not tell you that nor did Microsoft essentials or any of the commercial packages. You possibly have one malware like spydoctor or antimalware which is misinforming you.

Grate, same thing happen to me and got it fixed.

You can use Microsoft Defender which is part of Windows. You can also go to the Norton website and do a free online scan. http://us.norton.com/support/D...port_spyware_removal

Since then I changed computers and am now using Trend Micro...

I do have 24/7 tech help with Trend Micro for a few extra $...
