Happy Diwali! I eagerly await all the delicious sweets I'll be getting tomorrowSmile

Speaking of sweets, Bookwoman bought a box of Indian sweets for me. It's called Petha. It's made from a big melon-like vegetable called ash gourd or sweet pumpkin or white gourd or winter melon. People in North India and Pakistan make petha candy with it. South Indians make curry with it. The Chinese make a soup with it. I've already eaten a few pieces of the petha candy and it's tasty, really really sweet. So, with this nice feeling, I'm wishing all GNIers a Happy Divali.
