We have to admire the restraint of our people and trust that they made a good choice at the polling stations.

Let me remind some of you who're saying that the PPP may rig the elections. It's the PPP that's responsible for free and fair election since 1992. The peace and clam that we're seeing today are the result of the late Cheddi Jagan. let's not be ungreatful here.

This one is for Chief. We don't tell our family who to vote for, that is called coercion and undemocratic. People are free to choose for themselves.

What u know about the fight for free and fair election? When the PPP clan is behaving like the PNC then even those that were part of the struggle have doubts.

Don't peddle that lie. The PPP is not responsible for the return to Democracy. THey are old communists so democracy was far from their mind. The united communioty of Guyanese from all sectors rtejected the PNC an with the impetus of the WPA ( while the PPP was holding hands in critical support of with the PNC) rejected the state of affairs. Indeed many affiliated with the PPP were in the foreground bur none ware taking instructions from the PPP to act in this or that way per some preconceived battle plan forged and executed in freedom house.

The PPP are benefactors of the the struggle and when the came in they did not receive a holy covenant from god as to what is the nature of democracy which they boxed up and packaged and enshrined and reflect on as a holy grail. They were a transitional administration. They were to take us to democracy where all our people can participate in a government of their choosing that is accountable not on to itself but to a system of checks. Alas, they simply co-opted the instruments of the dictatorship and under the guise of elections continue today as a dictatorship. We the people did not select any of the leaders in the PPP to be our president to date! A 15 member PPP cabal did that and foist their choice on us.
